"What do you mean it makes sense?" I yell at Tiff.
"Come on. You both sleep around a lot, have well had, a drinking problem!" She exclaims. "You guys even dress the same!" She gestures to his Nirvana tee-shirt like mine.
"And Hawkeye being your father makes sense too?" I counter.
"I'm good with bows." She says sheepishly.
"I'm Veronica, by the way." I ignore her comment.
"Tony." He extends his hand to me.
"Yeah, I know." I say a bit bitterly not bothering to shake his hand.
"Someone is a bit moody today." He mumbles.
"Oh. I'm sorry, did you just meet the father who never wanted you?" I sassed.
The room turns into an awkward silence.
"Well." Fury breaks the uncomfortable silence. "Another reason why I wanted you two to come here is because I wanted to see if you would accept the proposal of joining the Avengers."
"Yeah, I'll join." Tiffany quickly answers. I take a while to think.
"Agent Sta--"
"Don't call me Agent Stark." I cut off Fury.
"Agent Veronica, will you be joining the Avengers or not?" He corrects himself.
"Will we be moving into Stark Towers?" I question.
"Avengers Towers actually." Tony corrects I turn my head and glare at him.
"It's one of the requirements of being an Avenger, yes." Fury answers my question.
"So. I'll living in a tower with all 10 Avengers."
"Well 11 now that Tiffany agreed." Barton corrects joyfully.
"The Tower is more than big enough to hold more than 2 supersoldiers, a demigod, 2 genetically enhanced Europeans, 2 trained assassins, 2 geniuses, and a Vision." Tiff adds.
I take a second to think. "I don't want to live alone so, I guess I'll join."
"Great!" Fury shouts a bit. "Go home and pack your stuff. You're moving in now."
"Now!?!?" Tony and I say at the same time.
"You didn't tell me that they were moving in today!" Stark whines. "I have a party planned tonight!!!"
"Why do you think I asked you to get two rooms ready in your tower a couple weeks ago?" Fury spats.
"I don't know. You're Nick Fury! No one ever knows what's going on in that super spy brain of yours." Stark defends weakly. "And I'm not canceling the party."
"He's not wrong." Barton agrees.
"Anyways, Tiffany, Veronica, go get your shit together and head to Avenger Towers, teleport if you have to." Fury commands.
"YOU CAN TELEPORT!?!?" Barton yells.
"Yes." Tiffany chortles.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Amazing, now please teleport me or I'll speed my way out of here."
"Wait, wait, wait." Stark turns to me. "You have increase endurance and speed?"
"No, I meant speed like, speed down the road in a car- of course I meant super speed." I say in a smartass tone. "Now can we please teleport home?" I ramble a bit then turn to Tiffany.
"I'm not teleporting you out of here." She says then disappears.
"Wha." I turn to the place where she was. "That little shit." I mumble incoherently.
"You know... I can.. I can uh, give you a ride. If you want?" Tony offers after getting a stare from Barton and Fury.
"I rather walk." I sneered then turn to run into the chair. "Shit, my toe." I mutter under my breath then speed walk out the door then zoom home.
"Yeah. She's your daughter." Barton turns to Stark and laughs.
Home...
"Why did I have to be Stark's stupid daughter!?" I whine as I stop in our living room. "Why does he have to be a man slut? Why did he have to conceive me?" I keep mumbling stuff under my breath as I run around my room throwing my clothes into a suitcase.
"VERONICA!!!" Tiffany yells at me as she leans on my door frame.
"What." I stop speeding around and look at her.
"Once we get there, stop complaining about Stark being your father. At least you know who it is instead of wondering who it is for the next how many years." She scolds me. "Just be grateful we're living in the Avengers Tower as Avengers; Earth's Mightiest Heroes."
I glare at her, she gives me a glare back. "Fine. Just don't expect me to be all cotton candy and lollipops when we get there."
"You're never cotton candy and lollipops ever so I wasn't in the first place." She mumbles as she walks back to her room to pack.
10 Minutes Later...
"You ready to go?" Tiffany yells from the living room. "Already called the landlord saying we're moving out. He said leave our keys on the counter and he'll pick them up later."
"Yeah!" I yell back walking out into the living room with a big suitcase and a different outfit on than earlier.
"You changed?" Tiffany questions in a 'really' tone gesturing to my light blue sweater and black skinny jeans with a collared shirt under the sweat, only exposing the white collar over it along with a pair of half boots.
"Yes." I answer bluntly throwing my key onto the kitchen counter. "I also threw that Nirvana shirt in the Mississippi River."
"You're manipulating your powers." She warns in a sing-song voice.
"No, I'm just using them for stupid reasons." I accidentally admit.
"Exactly." She smirks. "Now where are the car keys?"
"I thought you had them."
"I don't have them, I thought you were going to drive home."
"Why would I drive home? I have super speed!"
"You didn't use it earlier!"
"I was lazy earlier!"
"So! Either way you don't use your powers a lot!"
"You don't either!"
"I use them more than you do!"
"Just teleport us to Avengers Tower."
"No. You can run again."
"Why?"
"Because you made me teleport you here earlier."
"But I just ran home when you left me at SHIEL-- Really." I'm cut off by her teleporting. "Haha. She left her bag." I go to pick it up and it disappears. "Wow. Wow. Wow. WOW. Wow." I repeat as I grab my suitcase and speed off to Avenger Towers.
