Doctor’s POV

I was lying next to Electra on the bed, we were both exhausted, but there would be no sleeping. We were both too stressed out for that. I sat up and stared down at her as she looked up at me.

“I never imagined this would happen.” She said sadly and I nodded. “We have to fix it Doctor.” “How? We don’t have a TARDIS.” She sat up on the bed and looked at me. “I know, but we have to fix this somehow.”

“Okay Electra… we can try.” She smiled weakly at me and then stood up. “Come on, let’s go see if we can figure out a way to fix this.” We both got out and went over to the door, Electra peeked out and seeing that the coast was clear we both left the room and walked quietly through the halls.

We made our way back to the storage room where the TARDIS’ were kept and went inside. We shut the door and turned on the lights, we went back over to my TARDIS and went inside the dark dead ship.

We walked sadly through its halls, I was trying to talk to her in the hopes there might be a spark of life left, but there wasn’t. We went to one of the labs and I got a box as me and Electra started throwing stuff we might be able to use inside of it.

“Electra, do you have any ideas?” I asked as we worked. “Not yet, I’m thinking though, I really am… how about you?” “Nope nothing so far.”  We worked on in silence, when the box was full we left the TARDIS and went back up to the storage room.

Electra found some tables in one corner and I found some dry erase boards. We drug them all out into the center of the room, and began to set up our makeshift lab. One thing that living in the alternate reality had taught us was how to improvise.

After about twenty minutes we had our lab up and functioning. Then we sat down and began trying to brainstorm for ideas, which failed miserably, we ended up stumbling back to our room at around four a.m. and fell into bed, both of us still thinking about a solution.

We awoke at around seven and snuck back to our lab, we worked there for a few hours, finding ways to run scans and get information about the time stream without a TARDIS. Electra found a laptop and was searching the Torchwood database for information on the war and what happened and when.

After about four hours we were caught up on Earth history and still fresh out of ideas as to how to fix it all. “How about telepathic time travel?” Electra asked and I thought for a minute.

“The Time Lords deemed it to dangerous, which is how the TARDIS’ ended up being invented. “Yea but we don’t have much of a choice.”

“That’s true, we don’t. It would take a strong telepathic link between the traveler and the body they were travelling into.” I said and Electra smiled.

“I am a pretty powerful telepath, and I can travel into myself.” “Yes! But we still have to figure out a way to do it.” I said and she sighed. “Good point, but at least we have the basis of a plan.”

“That’s true…” I started but was interrupted by the sound of people yelling for us. “I think we need to leave now.” Electra said and I nodded.

A/N What did Ya'll think?! I know it's short and I am sorry! But I am still having some writers block with this! Hopefully I can update soon! Very busy!
