Angelica's POV

I entered the dining room then halted at the door. The children were sitting with their father at the huge dining room table eating in companionable silence. They didn't seem to mind his presence. And they also were already in their prescribed school uniform. Lucas and Alyssa were on his left side while a plate was set on his right, meant for who I assumed was me. Sandra didn't bother telling me the living arrangements I had in this place but I didn't expect to be treated like family. Like his family. I actually expected to be eating with the help along with my kids.

"Good morning Sir," I greeted to break the silence. Thank God the kids were on their best behavior. I wouldn't know how to face Lucca if the twins were behaving miserably. I face the kids and smiled at them.

"Good morning Angel," he greeted back. I was shocked at how he addressed me. Yesterday, I was still Ms. Sanchez, now I'm back to being Angel again? Is this man bipolar or something?

I grabbed some toast and bacon that was served on different plates on the table. I also poured some coffee on a cup provided. I saw the kids had a glass of milk each. They also had eggs and bacon on their plates. Did the help actually see the similarity between the kids and their father for them to treat my kids this way? "Sir, if you don't mind me asking, are we really supposed to be eating with you?"

He put his utensils on the side of the plate, took a sip of his coffee then looked up at me and raised a thick brow. "Is there a problem with the arrangements Angel?" There's that damn name again. The name that brings back too much unwanted memories.

"No sir, but I'm sure you're used to your privacy and solitude. I also don't want any changes made on your routine for our sake. The kids and I are fine if we eat with the help." He smirked, more to himself than to me.

"I assure you, it's no trouble at all." I quickly finished my food as he drank the last of his coffee. "Are you ready kids?" he asked the twins. Lucas and Alyssa nodded in unison. It was obvious they were excited to go to their new school. "Let's go then."

My eyes widened at what he said. We weren't actually going to take the kids to school together, were we? Coz if we did, I am going to be in so much trouble. He walked briskly towards outside the house. The kids followed him obediently and without question. I walked at a more leisurely pace, still amazed at opulence of the place. How could anyone get used to living in this mansion?

When we reached the courtyard, a sedate car was waiting for us. I remember Sandra telling me that a chauffeur was going to take my kids to school, so how come there was only one car. All of sudden, Alyssa took a hold of the edge of Luc's coat and tugged at it. "Are you driving us to school?"

I widened my eyes at her. My daughter seriously has to learn to filter her mouth. I already explained to them that Mr. Lucca di Angelo was my boss, so why are they treating him like his their father? "Yes cara, wouldn't you like that?"

Both kids nodded enthusiastically. "Sir, there's no need. If you just tell me how to get the kids to school, I'm sure we could manage with the public transportation."

"Don't worry Angel, this isn't going to happen every day. We still need to talk to their teacher since it has been already a month since school started." He turned his back on me and led both kids to the car and opened the door for them at the back. Both eagerly went inside and waited for both of us to get in too.

"But Sir," before I could complete my sentence, he raised a hand to stop me.

"And please, stop calling me sir. It's not as if we didn't know each other before. If you still remember, we called each other a number of things, but we were never this formal," he smirked upon seeing my reaction. So he still did remember that illicit week? Damn! "Do both of us a favor and call me Luc. The kids do."

With that said, he left me dumbfounded on the steps and got inside the car. I heard the kids yelling at me to get inside. I got inside on the passenger seat. I didn't want to make it seem as if he was our driver. "Mommy, are you gonna pick us up later?" Lucas asked innocently.

Before I could answer my son's question, Luc beat me to it. "Sorry buddy but Mommy and I have something to do later, don't we Angel?" My God, he made the question sound as if it had a completely different meaning.

"Luc, why do you call Mommy Angel? She said our daddy also used to call her that. Do you know our Daddy?" it was my daughter's turn to ask. Why did my kids choose today to ask this incessantly?

I noticed Luc gripped the steering wheel just a little bit tighter. His knuckles whitened with the action. "Sorry but, only Mommy can answer that question. Anyway, did you kids like Anna?" at the twins' positive response he added, "Well, she's the one picking you up later with Mr. Gianetti." At my raised brow and questioning look, he rolled his eyes. "He's a part of my security team."

I wondered why he had a part of his security team pick up my kids. Maybe it was Sandra who made the arrangements. I didn't bother turning to look at the kids or say something, fearing I might say something to give me away. I didn't bother with the pretty view outside. It didn't take us long to arrive outside the school premises. I immediately got out and opened the door for the twins.

I saw a woman who I assumed to be the teacher waiting outside, greeting back to kids saying hi to her. Her eyes lit up at the sight of Luc getting out of the car. Oh God. Another one star struck by his face and wealth. "Good morning Mr. di Angelo," she greeted. There wasn't a traceable accent on her voice. Maybe she isn't Italian. Luc nodded tersely, grabbing both kids' one hand. What is up with the loving father act?

He bent down so he could be on eye level with the twins "Kids, meet Ms. Anderson, she's going to take you inside your new school." The kids looked up to her and she looked down on them with a smile. He stood up and faced the over eager teacher again. "Two of my staff are picking them up later. The maid assigned to take care of them while we're not around and a member of my security team. They already got their IDs as guardians."

"Of course Sir. Thank you again for choosing us for the education of your kids. I know you won't regret it." Ms. Anderson smiled flirtingly at Luc. Bitch! And the SOB didn't even bother correcting her assumption. Seriously though, she assumed he was the father but didn't bother thinking I was the mother?

"I hope so too Ms. Anderson," he said sardonically. "Let's go Angel," he then said to me, beckoning me to leave.

I bent to face my kids and kissed them both on the cheeks. "Behave okay?" They both nodded and smiled at me sweetly. I saw them looking ahead of me, straight at Luc. They ran to him and kissed his cheeks simultaneously. He ruffled Lucas' hair and briefly hugged Alyssa. I could then feel my feel breaking again for seeing what I deprived my own children.
