Angelica's POV

Luc's house was like a prison to all of us after the events of yesterday. Press was surrounding his property that he had to get additional security. On the bright side, the kids had no idea of what was going on.

The kids were done with their breakfast and I was left alone with Luc in his study where we proceeded with our coffee to discuss our current predicament. "Sir, what are we going to do? Your staff already told the paparazzi the truth but it seems that it their statement only worsened things."

"Yes, I gave them instructions to tell the press of what they know, which we both know are very limited. As far as my staff is concerned you are my secretary, the twins are your children and you all live with me, is that correct?" I nodded as I stared at him take a sip of his coffee. "I know you understand the complications of that statement but we both know that there is more to this situation, am I correct?" I nodded again, sensing where he was leading with this. I took a huge gulp of my coffee, unmindful of its burning heat going down my throat.

Before he could proceed with our conversation, the doors of his office opened and in came his twin sister with her dramatic entrance. "Lucca, what is this I hear that you already have a family? Why do I not know this family?"

I gaped at Alessandra while Luc just sighed exasperatedly. She took a seat at the couch, next to me. "If I say yes, will you stop the drama dear sister?" he asked sardonically.

"So what they say is true? Who is the woman and where are the children? Are you ashamed of her? Why is she not here?" Lucca and Alessandra were in a staring contest. I know for a fact Luc didn't bother remembering all those questions Alessandra had for him. I doubt if he heard all of them with the pace she asked them.

"All your questions, I'm sure, can be answered by the woman next to you," he said, while fixing his gaze on me. He was looking so serious now. The teasing glint from a while ago was gone. "Right Angel?" he was putting the pressure on me. He made it seem as if it was up to me what to tell his sister. I could give her the bare facts or I could go deeper and tell them everything. "Maybe it's time to stop going in circles, cara mia. When exactly were you planning to tell me I fathered your children?" I felt myself go pale at his question and I was barely stopped myself from trembling so hard. "Dio! Don't bother telling me otherwise. I know the truth."

I put my cup on the table. There was no point lying, was there? "I never planned on telling you," I muttered. He gave me a glare that could've killed me if looks could kill. "Damn you! I didn't even know when I flew in here that you were going to be my boss! All that Giselle told me was that her friend's brother needed a secretary! Stupid girl that I am, I grabbed the opportunity. Never even considering the possibility that we might see each other again or you recognizing me if we did run into each other."
