~Days Later~
Carl's P.O.V
"Carl!" Riza exclaimed as I looked into her eyes.
"What?" I asked as I walked away from the short teen.
"Why would you do that?" She asked covering her mouth.
"Because." I answered and walked away.
Okay kiss is done, wait no, asking out first than kiss. Fuck. But oh well kisses have better impacts.
I walked aimlessly around the prison wondering if there's and Shitberry people to pick on. I shouldn't do that though, Riza would like that.
"So?" Dad said as he walked beside me.
"So what?" I asked wanting him to ask me a proper question.
"I saw you with her, don't play dumb." Dad said as he pushed me to the closest cell.
"Okay tell me." Daddy said as he sat down.
"Fine," I huff, "We were talking, I was going to ask her out, instead I kissed her, than walked away."
"You walked away? You don't walking away. You ask her out! What type of guy walks away?" He asked.
"I do! I could he was just to fucking adorable and I got lost in her eyes, I just can't!" I exclaimed in frustration.
"Okay let's do this, you, Riza, me, and Michonne or Daryl go on a run." Dad suggested.
"No, I can see where this is going I'm not taking my chances with death." I said.
"Okay I haven't thought of it like that." Dad said reconsidering the idea... I hope.
"Okay that's a terrible idea." Dad said realizing what he shouldn't have done.
"What do you want to do then?" He asked and I shrugged my shoulders.
"I don't know, she makes me feel like all the air in my body ha been taken away." I said using my hands to express every word.
"So he makes you breathless?" Dad asked.
"YES!" I yelled grabbing my hair in frustration, " What am I supposed to do?" I asked.
"Well I asked your mother out in a wired way... It was really wired some we both proposed at the same time." Dad laugh.
"But that different, that's marriage!" I said getting up from the bunk.
"Well you'll figure out a way and eventually ask her out." Dad said walking out of the cell, leaving me all alone.
So how am I going to do this? I asked myself as I walked over to Judith.
~~~
"Riza?" I said as I walked up to her.
"Yes?" She said looking away from her book.
"Be... I... Mine?" I said then walked away.
Embarrassment one, Carl zero.
~~~
"Hey Carl can you help me out with something?" Riza asked walking right beside me.
"Yeah, what do you need help with?" I asked.
"Taking care of the Woodberry kids while Carol and Beth go on a quick run." She asked, "but you don't have to if-" "I'll do it." I said smiling.
"Thanks." She smiled as I smiled back.
"Hey Riza I wanted tell you something." I said as we walked to Block C.
"Yes?" She said giving me permission to go on.
"I-" before I could finish my sentence I fell.
"Carl!" Riza exclaimed as she helped me up.
Embarrassment two, Carl zero.
~~~
"Dad," I said walking to the garden out side of the prison, passing Hershel as I walked, "I'm really close to giving up." I said helping him out with the garden.
"Yeah and Hershel is trying to figure out more ways for Riza to stay away from you and the other guys here." He laughed.
"Very funny." I said sarcastically.
"Come on it isn't that hard." Dad said.
"For you." I mumbled.
"Rick?" That voice, I turn around to see Riza walking up to us.
"Hey Carl." She greeted as I nodded my head in response.
"What would you like Riza?" Dad asked kindly.
"I would like french fries and a hamburger please." She said as I laughed softly.
"Okay, what would you really like?" Dad asked for reals this time.
"Do you know where Hershel is? He wanted to talk to me about something." Riza asked.
"I just passed him actually." I answered, "He went down there." I pointed to the direction he was walking when I passed him.
"Thank you Carl, see you later." She said to the both of use and walked away.
"Wait Riza!" I called out as I ran to her. She stopped and turned around, "yes?" She said.
Suddenly the air in my lungs were taken out of me, leaving me breathless.
"Carl?" She asked.
"Meet me in the library later, at sunset." I said.
"Okay, I will." She said then walked away.
"Library?" Dad asked.
"I figured out a way just lemme alone." I said.
"Okay but let me teach you a thing or two." He said.
That thing or two lesson soon turned into a much sexual conversation.
Embarrassment two, Carl one.
Riza's P.O.V
"Riza, sweetie come have a seat." Hershel said as I walked into the library.
I sat on an empty chair next to him. "What wrong?" I asked as Hershel smiled.
"Well where do I start?" He said sarcastically.
"Come on, what's really going on?" I asked.
"Carl." He said as I froze.
"Hershel I already told you that you can't keep me away from him and he doesn't like to listen to listen to people so he isn't going to leave that easily." I said.
"I know but I don't want you getting hurt that's all." Hershel said back.
"I know and I'm grateful for having you watch over me all these years but-" "no buts." Hershel cut me off.
"YOUR MY LITTLE GIRL AND I'M FORBIDDING YOU FORCEFULLY TO STAY AWAY FROM THAT BOY!" Hershel yelled at me.
"I'M NOT YOUR LITTLE GIRL ANYMORE AND YOUR NOT MY FATHER!" I yelled back, quickly regretting it.
Hershel looked at the me, his face soften.
"Please Riza-" "No! You can't tell me what to do Hershel, I'm sorry, I really am. But I like Carl, he's my best friend if I want to be with him I'll be with him." I softly said holding one of Hershel's hand.
"I'm sorry, I really am, thank you for everything. But in a world like this, he's my only dream." I said kissing his cheek and walked away.
As I walked out I ran outside crying, regretting a lot of why I said.
