Third Person P.O.V
Everything was going fine, the group passed the walkers quietly. Suddenly Sam remember what Carol has told him, "I'll tie you up to a tree far far away where the monster will come and eat you." The little boy was scared and thought his mother was taking him there.
"Mom." Sam whispered, a couple of walkers looked at them but didn't pay attention for long.
"Mom." Sam said a little more louder.
"Mom!" Sam yelled, all the walker stopped walking around aimlessly and paid attention to the child.
"Shit." Rick mumbled pulling out his guns.
"Mom!" Sam screamed.
Riza grabbed the younger child and covered his mouth as they all started to shoot the walkers. Riza looked around to see they were near the house that stored all the guns.
We won't make it. She thought kicking a walker away from her.
"Riza!" Carl yelled.
Riza turned around to see a walker towering her. Dammit. Riza thought as she backed up slowly. The walker slowly surrounded Riza and before she knew it she was going to die.
"Riza." Sam said grabbing her said tightly.
*Bam*
One fat walker fell to the ground making space for Riza and Sam to run through. Riza grabbed Sam's hand and ran. Her heart was beating to the point she could hear it.
Terrified Riza was, but she made it through. Sam ran to his mother as Riza hugged Carl.
"What the fuck were you doing spacing out like that? You'll die like that!" Carl exclaimed hugging Riza tightly as the walkers closed in on them.
"I was trying to figure out a way to escape." Riza answered.
The walkers were to close now, in complete fear Ron made a break for it. He ran away from the group and tried to make it to the storage house.
Jesse was shocked, but soon was devastated when she heard screams of pain coming from her eldest son.
Fucker. Carl thought, but those screams gave a quick escape.
As the walkers slowly walk to the screaming boy grabbed Jesse who had Sam with her and ran through the gap.
Carl followed his father, making sure Riza was close to him. "Run! Run! Run!" Rick exclaimed.
Judith started to cry in Rick's arms from the sudden movement had gain the attention of the walkers once more.
As the walkers got into a bigger group Riza and Carl ended up splitting up from Rick. Carl saw a car not to far from them, and considering their current condition, they didn't really have a choice.
Please be unlock, please be unlock, please don't be lock! Carl begged in his head running towards the car.
The door was unlocked, mentally thanking who ever was listening to his pleadings he shoved Riza into the car and joined her quickly.
"Carl?" Riza panted looking at Carl, tears were starting to form.
"No, no, no, we'll be fine." Carl said cupping her face with his hands. "We are going to be fine."
The walkers started to pound against the car's windows, some starting to crack. "Carl, I'm scared." Riza whimpered as he hugged her.
"I know baby girl, I am too." Carl said truthfully as he made her laid on her back.
"Whatever happens next, I love you." Carl said kissing her.
"I love you too." Riza said into the kiss.
After a while things got a little heated, but the walkers finally broke through the glass and made their way into the car.
"Carl!" Riza said looking at the monsters.
"Shh, I'm right here." Carl said turning her head so that she was facing him once again.
"Don't worry about it princess." Carl said leaning in, "Let me show you the stars." He whispered, but by then he could feel the walkers grabbing a hold of him.
He looked at her face one last time, her brown eyes were filled with sadness and fear, her face looked so smooth and gentle, he wished he had a little more time with her.
Just another night.
One more hour.
A minute.
"Ah!" Riza screamed feeling the walker's teeth sink into her leg.
Carl then felt pain a long his back. Riza's grip around his neck tight as she fixed their position so they were both laying on their sides.
"N-No." Carl stuttered as Riza tried to hold back her scream.
Carl wrapped his arms around Riza tightly as the walkers bite the flesh off of them. "Carl I-I don't want to die." Riza manage to spit out.
Her eyes were red and puffy as she cried, but now blood was mixed with her tears.
Finally their lives have given away.
~~~
"Carl!?" Rick yelled.
"Riza!?" He yelled.
Finally he found the car where a few walkers walked around with fresh blood dripping from their fingertips and mouths.
Easily taking them out he looked into the car to see something he wished he never saw.
Their gone...
"No." Rick said looking at his son and the girl he promised he would take care off.
"Oh god." Jesse said pulling Sam away.
Suddenly Carl's eyes opened up, his blue eyes seemed bright now that they are clouded.
But what broke Rick's heart the most was that as much as Carl was hungry his arms stayed around Riza's body.
"I'm so sorry," Rick said pulling out his gun, "Riza you were right, all this time... If only I listened."
