Part 9

Ryan's p.o.v. -
I connected the call and didn't even bother hiding the fact I had finished a shower a second prior to connecting.

She got a special sight she didn't expect causing her to say "Wow. I wasn't expecting to see you like that."

I asked curiously "Is it a good shock or bad?"

Nikki said "What my face doesn't answer that question? Here I thought it would be obvious."

I said "I think someone likes the view a little too much."

Nikki said "I think it's just enough. Is there such a thing as liking it too much? For an unexpected view you are not trying to cover up. Unless you want me to keep staring at it."

I wasn't really planning on having a certain type of conversation so soon but after hearing her voice and seeing her eyes sparkle I figured she was in a playful mood herself.

After a "fun" FaceTime chat we blew kisses to one another before hanging up.

Nikki said "Bye."

I said "Bye."

Over the next three weeks I was so busy filming and having weekend plans with Mike that I had little time to call Nikki so I'd send texts instead.

Nikki's p.o.v. -
During those three weeks I waited to see Ryan again I worked a few times at the school and the food pantry.

My texts to Ryan were similar to that of a girl who had a man overseas.

One read "My heart is racing thinking about you. I'm losing it waiting until the next day I see your face again. I never thought I'd miss someone so much. I can't wait. I miss your kiss."

Another read "It's getting closer to the day I see you again...I'm losing my mind here. I need to see you. I'm freaking out about how much I miss you."

Sharon's p.o.v. -
I had been viewing posts back and forth between Ryan and Nikki wondering if they knew each other. My friend wouldn't tell me if she was Ryan's date back in Cleveland or if she was falling for him. I tweeted her friend Emma and she didn't tell me a thing.

Emma's p.o.v. -
I sent a message to Nikki asking "Hey do you want people knowing what I know?"

Nikki replied "Not yet. You only know because you're friends with Ryan."

I asked her "Are you falling for him?"

Nikki said "All I can say for sure is that when I think about him my heart races. When I talk to him my stomach is in knots. When I remember the kisses my mind goes into a frenzy."

I said "I have one diagnosis for you."

Nikki asked "What is it?"

I said "You my dear friend are falling in Love with our friend Ryan Paevey!"

Nikki said half joking "Is there a cure?"

I said "Well, the only one I know of is telling him. I'm sure he feels the same. If he knew all those details about you I doubt he'd feel any different. If he wants to see you so badly in two days I'm sure he would be accepting of you being a virgin and unfamiliar with love."
