Part 15

Ryan's p.o.v. -
I was able to kiss my girlfriend with so much passion and with her body being held up by my strong arms she remained close to me.

She was a little shaky because her back was still being put through therapy to recover.

Her legs were also going through therapy to become strong again.

That night I carried her to the big chair and set her down next to me.  I held her close as we laid there sleeping. 

In the morning I softly kissed her lips to wake her up.  She asked "Were you really here all night?"

I took her hand "Yes baby.  I was.  Merry Christmas."

Nikki looked into my eyes almost crying when she noticed a small box in my hand.

I handed it to her and she opened it in front of me.

The look in her eyes when she found a key was both that of shock and excitement.

Nikki's p.o.v. -
I had received a key from my boyfriend so I asked "What is this for?"

Ryan said "Well instead of moving to LA and spending money you don't have on an apartment I thought you could move in with me.  I love you!  I want you near me all the time."

I gasped and asked "One problem..."

Ryan interrupted me "No it's not.  I already discussed it."

I hugged him tightly and said "Well what about my doctor?  I don't know if I'm cleared yet."

Ryan said "Well once you get that clearance then you'll be able to."

I got a message from my doctor through email and it read "You are cleared for travel.  I'm sure you could find a new doctor out in LA."

I looked at Ryan smiling "Yes!  I can do it.  I will do it."

Ryan held me tightly and kissed my lips "Then you can go back with me in a few days."

After opening more gifts I found a present that was unopened and it said to Ryan from Nikki.  I handed it to him and he opened it to see a printed out gift card for one of his favorite restaurants. 

He looked into my eyes and said "Thanks baby.  I love it.  I go there a lot.  You'll have to go with me someday."

I said "Of course I will.  There are so many places to check out in Los Angeles.  I also want to explore San Francisco.  I am curious is it weird that I'd love to explore Alcatraz?"

Ryan laughed a little and said "No a lot of people tour that place everyday.  You'll have to join Mike Brytni and me on adventures.  Plus have some just the two of us."

I said "I'm going to hold you to that.  Once I can fully hike.  I could do a drive or a short walk right now."

Ryan kissed my cheek "I know baby.  When you're able to do more without crutches or a cane we will go explore California a little at a time."
