I couldn't work because of the paralysis and that didn't help frame of mind one bit.  Of course Ryan being at home didn't help either.  I texted him saying "I miss you!  I love you!  😘😍"

He replied "I miss you too baby.  I love you!  😘😍"

I typed out "I don't want to be here anymore."

He replied curiously "What do you mean?  You're not going to hurt yourself are you?"

I said "Oh no.  That's not what I meant.  I mean I don't want to live in this blah country area.  I want to move but I can't yet."

Ryan said "I'm sorry you feel that way.  Where do you want to move to?"

I said "I was thinking somewhere with mountains and warm weather.  Oh there also happens to be a cute guy who lives there.  I'd be able to see him more often."

Ryan asked "You want to move to LA?"

I said "What gave it away?"

Ryan said "The cute guy part.  You were obviously talking about seeing me more often."

I said "Well yes I was.  Like I said I miss you.  A lot!"

Ryan said "I wouldn't mind if my beautiful girlfriend moved out here to California.  Of course after she's healed up a bit."

I said "That's why I said I can't right now.  I'm not cleared for long distance travel."

Over the next weeks I texted, called, FaceTimed and left voicemails for Ryan updating him on my health.

He was glad I was keeping in touch as much as I did.  It showed him I was serious about getting better or at least tolerating my paralysis.

Ryan's p.o.v. -
I was so glad she texted me daily and called me.  I could hear her voice go back to the happiness I had heard previously.
I loved her more than she knew and was honestly thinking about the day she would be cleared for travel.

I had an idea on my mind but I had no idea how she'd feel about it.  I wanted to see her so badly but knew I was limited as to when I could make a visit again.

It was close to Christmas and I had a few weeks off set.  I flew to Wisconsin secretly and drove to see her.  A terrible storm began making the roads impossible to navigate.

I did all I could to make it to her house to see her.  I wasn't about to ruin my surprise so I didn't call or text.  If she messaged me I didn't tell her where I was.

This was my Christmas gift for her.  I was going to ask her an important question once I arrived.

At midnight on Christmas Eve I arrived at her door knocking.

I surprised the person at the door by using crutches instead of a wheelchair.

I opened the door and noticed a handsome man standing on the other side.

He spoke quietly but with excitement "Wow.  You can walk.  Even if it is with assistance.  You can walk."

I let the crutches drop to grab ahold of his neck as his arms wrapped around my waist.

He moved his lips towards mine and for the first time since we had said I love you we shared a deep heated kiss.
