Crush

Part 12

Nikki's p.o.v. -
As I laid in his strong arms in the chair I had the most awful dream of my life; that in which Ryan was never born and didn't exist. 

All the episodes of general hospital were so boring and the fact that Ryan didn't exist in this nightmare only made me realize I loved him more than I thought.

All the craziness caused me jolt awake and he asked "What happened?"

I said freaked out "I had the most awful dream of my life."

Ryan asked "What made it so bad?"

I said "You were never born and I never met you and GH was boring since you didn't exist.  It made my life sad and uneventful."

Ryan held me so tightly and kissed me "Well it's just a dream.  I'm right here.  I love you so much!"

I kissed back and said "I love you more than anything."

The following day we spent the whole time awake walking around Green Bay on a trail.

We took pictures and I asked "So is this your first time this far north?"

Ryan said "Yes.  I've been in the Manitowoc area and nearby cities but not Green Bay.  I've got family there."

I said "That's why I asked."

Ryan put his arm around my waist as we hiked the trail and noticed an animal in the water floating.

He took a high quality shot and saved it to post later. 

The sun began setting and as he took a photo of it I snuck a kiss asking if he wanted to go.

Ryan said "Not yet.  It's a perfect moment for me to do this" pulling me into his arms pressing his lips into mine in a very heated kiss.

I practically collapsed into his arms I had no idea I was so dehydrated that day.  He quickly stopped the kiss to drive me to the hospital.  He didn't know where to take me so he went to the nearest one.

It was not the correct place but I needed quick attention.  I had become so dehydrated that I passed out.  He rushed me inside and said "She needs help.  She passed out and I got her here quickly."

The nurse asked "Are you family sir?"

Ryan answered "No I'm her boyfriend."

The nurse got me into an exam room hooked me up to an IV and oxygen to make sure I was going to be alright.

It only took a few minutes to have her say to Ryan "You did the right thing bringing her in.  She could have lost oxygen to her brain if she was not brought in.  She's not just dehydrated.  She was hit in the back by a bullet."

Ryan noticed the blood he hadn't before all over his hands and shirt.  He had no clue I had been shot.  He figured it must have been a stray bullet from a hunter.

The doctor walked out and asked "Are you family?  Do you know how to reach them?"

Ryan said "I'm her boyfriend and no.  Check her phone."

The doctor said "She doesn't have her phone on her.  It either fell or she left it at home."

Ryan asked if I had information on file and they looked quickly to determine I did.

The nurse called my mom and she came as soon as she could.

Ryan met her and said "I didn't expect this to happen.  We were hiking on a trail.  It must have been a stray hunters bullet."

The doctor walked out hours later and said "I have good news and bad news."
