"This day just cant get any better! What have I done to deserve this?" Eric grumbled as he entered the staff room. "I swear one of these days....argh! Nevermind...its nt yet happened and I doubt it will."

Funny how you say you'll do something but do the exact opposite. Say I'll stop working, bit of course I continue to come!

I claim that today I'll be home early and have fun, but no...it has to frigging rain!

I promise I will forget her...but i always recall her...

...her smile

....her laughter

...the way her eyes would shine when she was excited.

Eric shook his head. He couldnt think about her now. He needed to get home.

However when he reached the entrance, he noticed someone there.

"Umm sir? You can't go out yet...the roads aren't clear." A student spoke.

Eric suddenly stopped. Of course! Damn the heavens!

Why was the universe against him!

"I know. I had to do a...rain check." Eric internally winced at his lame pun. Apparently the kid in front of him found it humorous, his grin reaching his ears.

"Nice one! Anyways, I'm heading to the cafeteria, they're handing out hot chocolate and coffee!"

Well...a cup of coffee doesn't sound bad, but Eric needed some fresh air.

"You go on. Enjoy it while it lasts."

The boy let out a sigh of relief. Eric smiled. Of course! Who'd want to hang out with a teacher...especially one who just made 7 students fail their mid-term?

Once the boy was out of sight, Eric decided to go to the garden.

The school had a huge campus. And huge gardens. The main one at the entrance was a sight to behold. And the smaller one was covered...sorta like a greenhouse. It was Eric's favourite place. The garden was just a room with trees and plants of various kinds.

A garden inside a school. Of course, Highland Oak had to have something as extraordinary as this!

Sighing, he went in. Atleast he could have some peace of mind here...

"You mean soo much to me."

"Really?"

"Yes silly. I love you!"

"I love you too."

....or maybe not.
