People were rushing around, many holding up their umbrellas. A couple ran into a small cafe, completely soaked.

But they didn't mind. They were busy laughing about something.

"You're such a dork.", she told him as he held her close. Their faces were close, their grins identical. They looked perfectly insane together.

"I heard you squeal. You have no right to judge me for wanting to run in the rain."

"That so? Don't recall it, got some proof?"

He moved his hand towards her abdomen and traced over it quickly, making her squirm and giggle, "T-That's Ch-chea-eating! ERIC!"

The sound of someone clearing their throat got their attention, the couple turning to see the cafe filled with people, staring right at them. At the crux of it, was an all too familiar face.

"Hello Eric."

"Dad.", with that out of the way, the mood shifted to one of apprehension. What was going to happen next?

She held onto Eric, trying to prevent him from moving but Eric pushed her away and went out. Away from the man who had his own agenda. She let out a huff and followed him out.

Outside, in the rain, she asked him why he did that. Eric just replied, "What is it to you?"

Unable control it, she had to let it out, "What is it to me? To start off, I'm your girlfriend and that was your dad, a person in your life I want to get along with."

"You don't need him to love you."

"I know I don't. I need you to trust me.", she said facing him. He looked up at her as she went on, "Just because you think your problems are your own doesn't mean you should shield them from me? Fat chance I'll let that slide, especially since it concerns me. I figure out what or who got that stick up your ass and I will definitely try to remove it. So just let me do it."

_____________

"Date nights with Eric.", a figure mused out loud.

Olivia smiled, "Yes, he's amazing. It's been a week now and I'm starting to like him."

_____________

"I regret this." Eric mourned as he ate his calamari. It was terrible. Olivia let out a sigh. They both decided to try out this new place, but so far everything tasted like garbage.

"I am joining work next week onwards."

"That so? Since it was never brought up, I forgot to ask, where is this job of yours going to be?"

Olivia decided to announce it right when he took in a gulp of water, "Why I'll be teaching at Raven High."

"Ra-raven High?" Eric got the words out as he coughed the water out. "Yup!"

"Your full name is Olivia Stanley?"

"Well, Olivia Rosetta Stanley, didn't you know that?"

"Oh God it's you", ah how we return to this point again.

"Is there something I'm missing?"

"Definitely. Would you like the full story or the abridged version?" He asked, a manic glint in his eyes.

With her eyebrows raised, she replied, "Whichever one lets me off the hook? I feel like I did something again."

"Again." Shaking his head, he explained to her about his extra sub duty.

She took a large gulp of her drink, "Why do I seem to keep messing things up with you?"

"It seems to be something I find endearing as of late."

Soon enough, they decided to call it quits and just left the terrible diner.

More like ran out from there, hands entwined, they were busy laughing.

"You're such a dork.", she told him as he held her close. Their faces were close, their grins identical. They looked perfectly insane together.

"I heard you gag. You have no right to judge me for wanting to run out from that hell hole."

"That so? Don't recall it, got some proof?"

"Oh really? I'll make you say it!" With that, he moved his hand towards her abdomen and traced over it quickly, making her squirm and giggle, "T-That's Ch-chea-eating! ERIC!"

His hand stilled.

"Eric?"

"Huh? Oh nothing. Just realized that it's getting late. I got some papers to review."

He wanted to run away.

For suddenly, it all seemed to blend.
