It was a shame really. No let's rephrase, it's been a tragedy of a weekend. And Eric was not done moping over it yet.
"And you know what she says? She had the gall to call my house crummy-"
"Don't you call it your crummy house anyways?"
"Shut up Ron, let me enjoy Eric drunkenly complaining about the stupid things in his life."
"Whatever Chuck, who knew that's your idea of entertainment."
"-she proceeds to point out a hole in my fucking roof! My. Fucking. Roof. Has. A. Hole."
Chuck stopped laughing and looked serious for a moment, "dude, that ain't cool. Please tell me you got that shit fixed right away."
Eric nodded solemnly, which was surprising, considering how drunk he was. "That's not the worst."
"If he says he's got to sub for someone, I'm out of here."
"I bet 2 dollars that it's about a subbing duty."
"2 dollars that it's about the neighbour chick."
"Amateurs. I bet 3 that it's gonna be about the assignments or wait-"
"Seriously guys? Trying to get some attention here."
"Sorry Eric. Say what else is going on in your surprisingly but not so surprisingly shitty but entertaining life."
"After I complete my repair, no wait. Let me tell you before that I got the notice that I have to sub for a month. A month! And after I wasted over half my monthly pay on roof repairs, I find out that the cause was none other than her."
The others oooh-d at that and Chuck sighed as he had to pay up to the other two since he apparently lost the bet. "Ain't fair that both your points were right."
"Shocking how despite being closest to him, you actually got it wrong."
Chuck shrugged. "I'm surprised he's still here and drinking. Must be really bugging him if he's doing this."
"She got me a cookie basket to apologies and then realized that she ought to explain what happened."
The others immediately stopped and looked at Eric, beckoning him to continue. He sighed.
"Alright..."

"So apparently I realized I might have skipped telling you what I did just to skip paying the fee for repairs." Olivia said, taking in a deep breath.
Eric was so not up for this. He was barely awake, forgot being awake, he could barely stand right now. He was rudely woken from his sleep by the banging on his door and the continously ringing of his doorbell.
Almost fell off his damn bed too. OK maybe he did fall off, but no one would ever hear or know about it.
"What are you going on about? Forget that, come after 3 hours." And with that he closed the door shut. He certainly did not feel guilty about it either.
Pretty faces with big puppy doll eyes be damned.
Which was definitely not why he opened the door again, with an exaggerated sigh saying, "Nevermind, you already got me out here. State your case."
"State my case?" She parroted but shook her head, "Alright. My asshole ex came by, I lost my shit and took my gun out and fired it into the heavens above screaming bloody murder at him and cackled as he fled."
"Alright?"
"No it isn't. Only later on did I realize that I wasn't wearing my contacts and might have misfired. And then I see your roof with a hole."
"...And you just barged in here."
"...yeah. I came to tell you sorry and mention that I can actually pay you for the damage I caused. Just forward me the bill."
Eric nodded and did just that before heading towards the bar.
_________________"Ha! Dude a few words of advice for you, don't let her go."
"Wha-why?" Eric asked.
Chuck made a move for him to come closer, and all the four moved together and Chuck whispered, "Cuz she stuck around despite meeting you. And actually offered to pay off for the repairs. No offense dude, but you are terrible at first impressions and no one in their right mind would ever offer to pay up."
The others laughed while Dan added, "Chuck man, don't say it that way"
"Atleast I know I can count on you Da-"
"Just say it, Eric is an asshole when you first meet him."
Eric promptly stopped and clicked his tongue against his teeth while the other continued to laugh, "Laugh laugh, it's not like you guys are any less, assholes. All of you are dicks."
"Atleast we have one!" Chuck shouted.
Ron shook his head, "that one's lame."
"Oh come on! I thought I'm supposed to be the comic relief here!"
"Dude suck it, you are just....a tragedy."
"Nah, didn't you just hear? Eric's life is a tragedy."
