Chapter Five: I Saw You I Got You

As Sapphire wakes up that morning , she gathers her things and starts packing away her things. She sees leftover berries and eats those before she left. She glanced at what she heard move quietly . A tree was blocking her view and she shrugged walking off. She heard things all night , steps behind her, quiet voices. Maybe she was crazy, maybe she was just hearing things ,but her senses were stronger than any normal humans, as she was built for the forest and developed them for six years. She new someone was following her and she had to know who it was. I lure whoever it is in closer then at the right moment I'll ask questions. She walks away hearing a twig snap behind her wanting turn around but just jerks her head slightly enough for only her to see it. She hears something dart behind her and walks away faster. Not knowing if there were lots of them or not she sighs and sees a fence leading to the mountains and starts jumping over it. Once she reached the mountains she would go around hills , but go around big hills or mountains. She didn't have time to go up the mountain. Nor would she survive it, the forest is enough with the police following her every where.

The wind whistles a warning to her as she heard a faint voice on the wind,"Find the girl, gain her trust, then take her in. If anything happens, make sure to get away to find out what to do. " It got quieter as she stopped walking. "We'll make sure she knows she can't escape again." She heard the voice go back to normal. "We can't let the people of the country get hurt." Then everything goes very quiet as she starts walking at a normal pace again. The wind had silenced with the sound of the voices. Find her? Gain her trust?Take her in? What in the world is this?

She whispers ,"Trap?What kind of things would a person do to get me back to Juvie?" As she heard a gasp she couldn't hold it in. She whipped around and pulled out her sword and growled,"Leave me alone! I'm sick of your games! It wasn't my fault I did that!" Tears in her eyes she left just letting everything go. She ran fast before she saw a rope on the ground.

She didn't know what it was for or what it would do, so she went around it thinking hunting would get it off her mind. She took a deep breath and kept her sword out and slowly listened carefully to her surroundings hearing something move in the bushes close by. Stepping forward delicately and very slowly she inched closer hearing something behind her and ignored it , getting mad anyway. She hurriedly shot her sword at it and killed it, but she missed as it darted away.

She heard a yelp and metal things dropping on the ground but it quickly shut itself up. She growled loudly then turned around and saw something on the ground. It was a sword and a dagger on the earth and quickly pulled out her sword as a tree blocking her sight of the figure. She got ready and held her sword out as she jumped out seeing a girl hanging upside down and her metal weapons on the ground. The girl from the school followed me! That's what I was hearing behind me all this time!

She growled seeing her hanging from one foot in the air,"Why did you follow me!?" She still had her sword out but knew she was no threat now that her weapons had been on the ground. It was a trap meant for me.

She shrugged ," I don't remember exactly , but I think you need help." She said in a matter-o-fact tone and looked Sapphire straight in the eyes.

She felt very unsure,"I don't need help from you , and i'm pretty sure you are just getting back at me for making you hurt!" Sapphire snapped madly gripping her sword tightly.

The girls face got red, mad, and from hanging upside down," Can you just get me down! I'm only trying to help you!"

She sighs putting her empty hand on her hip,"Promise not to hurt me?"She knows she will regret this but knows her swords will protect her.

"Cross my heart!" She whispers her face redder with her hands to the ground lying flat ready to get struck down.

Sapphire takes her sword and cuts the rope with the girl tumbling down put pushes herself up . When she stood up she took time to get her face straight until saying with her hand out as a handshake, "Hi, I'm Madiline Rae. " She nods her head at Sapphire picking up her sword and dagger making her tense. "I thought I could get away from home and help you."
