Scene of the Review

After Jeeva's deceit is revealed to the entire retirement home, the senior citizens lose all faith in "Jeeva". However, Jeeva tries to win back their trust by convincing them that even though he was masquerading as Jeeva, at the end of the day, he truly felt bad for the village. That was the very reason why he truly wanted to help the village. Hesitant to trust "Jeeva" again, they trust him again nonetheless.

General Comments

I just want to say that I felt that this movie did not have as much finesse as Anjaan. I was probably too wrapped up with the feels from Anjaan that I found it hard to transition from Anjaan to Kaththi.

I am not really a Vijay fan.  I don't feel that Samantha and Vijay have good chemistry. I really felt the chemistry between Surya and Samantha in Anjaan. I wasn't feeling it in this movie. I'll talk about the actual plot. It was selfish for Kaththi to take the place of Jeeva but when it comes to times of despair, you become helpless. I can't argue with that. I admired him when he wanted to sincerely help the community get its water back. The songs of this movie were very excellent too. The tunes of the music of this movie had my feet literally off the ground. They were really amazing. Anirudh sir (older brother in Tamil), you are amazing! The fight scenes were not as good as Anjaan. The antagonist of this movie was Chirag played by Neil Nitin Mukesh. I cannot say very much about him as I have not seen enough of his movies to form a solid judgement about him.

It was sad when Kaththi's deceit came out in front of everyone. If you do something heinous, it is bound to come out eventually. When it comes out, you regret why you lied in the first place. Despite the fact that his lie came to the forefront, he truly wanted to help the community. He wanted to carry out Jeeva's vision. It is hard to hate someone like that even after he or she lied to you.
