Scene of the Review (The Proposal Scene)

When Kavya opens the door, she is face-to-face with two people: Vishwa and Remo. Although Vishwa is her fiance, she is much more delighted to see Remo. In fact, she is so excited to see Remo that she pulls her into her house. Kavya introduces her mother to Remo. When her mother tries to hug Remo, Remo avoids the hug by claiming that she is a shy person. Kavya's father appears in the scene. Remo goes a bit overboard in her hug with Kavya's father. Remo takes Kavya to the terrace. Kavya is surprised that Remo brought her to the terrace. Remo tells her that a boy gave her a gift. Despite her initial stage of shock, Kavya opens the gift only to find a... whistle. She is not impressed with the gift, so she asks Remo what the gift is. Remo tells her it is a whistle and almost demonstrates how to use a whistle (ha!). When Kavya tells Remo that she knows how to use a whistle, Remo tells her to blow the whistle. After a couple of seconds of hesitation, Kavya blows the whistle. After Kavya blows the whistle, the sky is showered with fireworks. The sky displays "Happy Birthday Selfie". There were also balloons in the air, displaying the same message. Shocked, Kavya asks Remo for the name of the person who organized the spectacle. Remo tells her that she does not know. The boy simply asked her to give Kavya the gift on his behalf. In fact, if she is so curious, she could ask him herself. Realizing that the person she is referring to is herself, Remo leaves the terrace quickly. After leaving the terrace, Kavya finds SK with a bouquet of red roses. After SK wishes Kavya a happy birthday, he cuts to the chase. He confesses his feelings for her. Kavya is rendered speechless. SK does not rush her. He tells her to take her time. He will wait for her. Kavya is faced with the biggest decision of her life: staying engaged to Vishwa or breaking her engagement with Vishwa to be with SK.

General Comments

Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh are back again with a new movie. Just in case you missed the couple in Rajini Murugan, this movie is for you. In fact, the chemistry between Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh is a lot stronger in this movie. (This part sounds like an advertisement for the movie; advertisement or not, this movie is a must-watch, so go watch it if you have not done so already).

When I first saw this trailer, I had a feeling that this movie would be similar to Iru Mugan. After all, you have two males who occasionally dress up as females for parts of the movie. In Iru Mugan, Vikram not only plays the role of the Akhilan, he also plays the role of the mastermind Love. However, as I was watching the movie, I realized that this movie is nowhere near similar to Iru Mugan. It was a coincidence that SK was dressed up as a female (he had auditioned for a female role for a movie) when he meets Kavya in the bus. Is it fair to say that Sivakarthikeyan in female get-up is more prettier than I am and I am a girl???

I must say that this movie is very colourful. This movie screams "COLOUR" everywhere from the sets to the songs. When I first saw "Tamilselvi", I thought there was something wrong with my eyesight only to find out that the music video for that song has an yellowish-orange background. I also loved the backdrops for "Senjitaley". The costumes and the nature background were too good. The Disney reference was cute as well.  I especially liked the sets for one of the scenes. The set for the proposal scene was simply breathtaking. From the fireworks to the confession, there were no flaws with the set. If only someone would take that much effort to confess to me... Oh, well! That what movies are there for. Movies are an escape from reality. When one watches a movie, the person is absorbed in that reality. In fact, one gets so absorbed that one starts to empathize with the lead actors.

You've reached the end of published parts.
