ISSY P.O.V

Well, to say that this night was dreaded was an understatement. I was in no mood to go out tonight but according to my roommates, I needed a night out. A night out is not what I wanted. My boyfriend of a year and a half, Mitchell, broke up with me last month and I am still upset. I thought we were going to be together forever, but it seemed like I was wrong. He broke up with me by saying he needed to move on with his life. He told me that I was his life. I guess things change. I didn't want anybody to see me like this! I hadn't been taking care of myself as I usually do and I looked like a homeless person in my oversized grey sweats. This excuse wasn't good enough for my two best friends; Demi and Tahnee, as they continued to try and convince me to come out clubbing with them tonight.

"C'mon Issy! If you come out tonight we won't bother you to come out again!" Demi yelled outside my door, sporadically trying to turn the door handle which I had locked.
I unlocked the door and peeked a quarter of my face through the crack. "Promise?"
Tahnee pushed the door lightly until it fully opened and pulled me up by my hands.
"We promise." They said together.
"Okay. I'll come. But I have a problem."
My two best friends looked at me confusedly.
"I don't know what to wear to a club! I never go!" I exclaimed, crossing my bedroom to sit on my bed.
Demi came and sat next to me, placing a comforting hand on my knee. "Go and have a shower, slather some makeup on the beautiful face and we'll sort out the rest."
I looked up at my best friend and smiled lightly. "Give me forty minutes."
As I left my bedroom, I heard the girls high five and start to rifle through my closet.

I entered our singular bathroom, leaning over the bath and turning on the shower faucets until the water temperature was bearable. I stripped from my comfortable attire and let my hair flow free from its messy bun. I looked at myself in the mirror, happy with what I saw. I didn't hate my body, I actually loved it. I was happy in my skin. I was quite petite, standing around the 5'2 mark and curvy in shape. I have quite a small bust but I have quite large hips and skinny legs. My hair is thick and blonde and falls jaggedly down past my breasts. My eyes are deep green with shades of blue that flicker and they turn grey when I'm cold. I have my nose pierced and several different holes in my ears along with my belly button. I have two tattoos; one of which being a huge mermaid that curves up my entire left side of my body and a small black and white Tribal designed elephant on my left thigh. No matter what Mitch said or thought, I knew that I wasn't ugly.

After twenty minutes in the shower, I turned off the water and dried my body quickly. I blow dried my hair and straightened it and teased the ends lightly. The main focus of my makeup consisted of contour, defined brows and winged eyeliner. I kept my towel tied around my body tightly before heading back to my room. I entered it, surprised that it was empty, an outfit lay on my bed. I smiled at the choice my friends had made. It was sexy but still left a lot to the imagination which I liked. I changed into the outfit which was a black leather crop top with a deep V neck, a long denim skirt with rips down the front which showed off my belly button ring and a pair of black platforms. I paired some gold bracelets with the outfit and decided I was happy with what I was wearing. I then headed into Demi's room where she was finishing off her hair. She wore a long sleeve black mesh top with a black lace bra peeking through underneath paired with high waisted denim mini shorts and thigh high black heeled boots, an oversized denim jacket matching her shorts slung over her shoulders. Her long brown hair was styled in messy beachy curls falling all over her shoulders and a black southern style belt held up her shorts. She smiled at me, obviously proud that I managed to scrub up well before she left her bedroom. We now decided to see if Tahnee was ready. We headed into her bedroom where she was packing her handbag for the night. She was wearing a black silk slip dress that hung from her bony frame and strappy black heels. Her bright red hair was styled in a huge messy bun with tendrils falling around her lightly made up face.
"Ready?" She asked with a cheesy grin.
"Yeah!" We exclaimed together, heading out the front door of our apartment.
