ISSY P.O.V

Sleep was peaceful to me, although I knew it was short lived. I was dragged from my slumber violently by cold hands shaking my shoulders. My weary eyes sprung open to reveal the frantic face and wild red hair of my roommate.
"Issy, cmon we gotta go." Tahnee whispered.
"Tahnee, go away." I moaned, closing my eyes and rolling over.
"Cmon Issy, Demi has work and I'm never at a one night stand this long." She whined.
I sighed in defeat and told her to get out and I'll meet her downstairs. I didn't really want to go. I looked over at Ben, his mouth was hanging open and his face screwed up into the pillow. I giggled and started to shake him.
"Ben? Ben?" I cooed. "Wake up."
After thirty seconds of impatience, I resorted to a different plan. I straddled his waist and I held his nose together with my thumb and forefinger so he couldn't breathe. He snorted and woke up with a start.
"What do you think you're doing?!" He cried sleepily, trying to thrash my weight from his body. "You could've killed me!"
"Yes Ben, holding your nose together would've killed you." I scoffed sarcastically. "Anyhow, I need you're help and I had to suffocate you in order to wake you up."
"Alright, alright, I'm sorry. What do you need help with?"
"I need directions to Cameron's room and I need to find various items of my clothing."
He rolled out of bed. "It's too early for this shit."
"I know. I want to go home and go to bed." I agreed, putting on my skirt that Ben handed me.
"I'll call you when I wake up." He promised, handing me my phone.
"Seems good to me." I attempted to beam brightly.

Ben opened the door and let me out first.
We walked down the hall and to the right and Ben swung open the door.
"ALRIGHT! WAKE UP AND HELP YOUR CHICK GET HER SHIT AND MEET HER MATES DOWNSTAIRS!" He yelled in the doorway, then turned to me. "They should be ready in about ten minutes. Now, your shoes?"
I giggled. "Wanna yell that a bit louder? I'm sure Russia didn't hear."
He snickered. "If you have a job to do, you better do it proper."
We walked down the stairs and my platforms caught my eye. "Found them!"
He smiled, picked them up and put them in my hand. "Is Tahnee in the kitchen?"
"Yes, I am!" I heard her reply.
"I'll wait with you guys until Demi is ready. I would be a poor host if I didn't."

Ben and I entered the kitchen to Tahnee sitting on the kitchen counter, phone in one hand and an apple in the other. Obviously she likes to make herself at home when she sleeps with another conquest. James and Sam were passed out together on an armchair in the corner. I walked over to Tahnee and stole the apple from her hand, taking a large bite. Ben was chuckling to himself and I made my way back to his side.
"I really want to go to bed." He said, shoving his hair from his face.
"Me too." I agreed, leaning my head on his arm and closing my eyes as I chewed the apple. "Four hours of sleep is nowhere near enough."
"I love sleep." He agreed.
"Who doesn't? I wish I had time to have some before I attempted my customer service job." I heard Demi's voice emerge from the doorway. "Can we go before I pass out?"
"Yeah, I called the cab it should be here soon." Tahnee said, dashing up from the counter to me and stealing the apple from my hand.
Cameron said a quick goodbye to Demi by kissing her and he went back upstairs. Tahnee's phone notified her that our cab was outside and the three of us followed her outside.

Ben stood behind me while my two counterparts headed for the edge of the driveway. I let them go ahead because I wanted to say a proper goodbye to Ben.
"Bye. Thanks for letting me sleep in your bed." I smiled.
"My pleasure darling. Bye." He swooped down and gave me a hug. "I'll call you."
"Get some sleep first!" I advised.
"I will! I will!" He promised, walking inside.
I hopped inside the taxi and I shut the door. I looked over to Demi to see if she'd mind me resting my head on her shoulder. Demi was already half asleep so I doubt she'd mind. I closed my eyes when my phone vibrated inside my bra. I groaned and checked it. It was from Ben.

I'll call you when I wake up. Sweet dreams x

I replied with;

Thanks again for last night! Sleep well <3

The taxi pulled up lazily outside our apartment block and we paid the driver according to the meter. Demi raced ahead of us so she could get to work. I was not far behind so I could pump some painkillers into me so I could combat my headache. Tahnee was sleepwalking not far behind. Thankfully, I wasn't working until tomorrow night, so I had all day and all night to recover. What I really wanted to do was work in journalism but Outback Steakhouse would have to do for now. When I was a teenager, I left high school and completed a course which made me a fully qualified makeup artist. I worked in Ulta for a while but it was a terrible workplace so I settled on waitressing. My passion was now for writing and for journalism. I wanted to put my passion for music and writing together and write for a music magazine like AP but I was way to under qualified and didn't think I had what it takes to be a writer. Maybe waitressing and makeup was all I was good at. We reached our apartment on the fifth floor and Demi was already setting through to her room like a cyclone. Tahnee yawned and sleepily uttered "good night." While I walked to the kitchen for drugs. I kicked off my heels and started the coffee machine for Demi. I grabbed out the painkiller packet from an overhead cupboard and popped two in my mouth with a swig of water from the tap. I poured the coffee into a mug and walked into my best friends room to deliver her beverage. She thanked me profusely before I kissed her cheek. I headed out of her room and headed into my room. I tied my hair up into a messy bun before stripping out of my tight outfit. I exchanged my leather and denim for a huge maroon sweater and black sweatpants before launching myself onto my bed and snuggling into my lilac sheets.

The blackness of sleep wasn't coming as fast as I hoped, my mind was racing with the fairytale that had been the last 24 hours. I was completely enchanted with Ben and I had been so lucky to meet him and spend some time with him but my heart wondered if it would be the first and last time I'd see him. I felt lyrics forming in my head, melodies that described my emotions composed in my mind and I reached for my acoustic guitar and notebook to start writing the song that Ben had caused in my heart.

There I was again tonight forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired, lonely place
Walls of insincerity
Shifting eyes and vacancy vanished when I saw your face
All I can say is it was enchanting to meet you

Your eyes whispered "have we met?"
Across the room your silhouette starts to make it's way to me
The playful conversation starts
Counter all your quick remarks, like passing notes in secrecy
And it was enchanting to meet you
All I can say is I was enchanted to meet you

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonder struck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you

The lingering question kept me up
Two a.m., who do you love?
I wonder till I'm wide awake
Now I'm pacing back and forth, wishing you were at my door
I'd open up and you would say, hey
It was enchanting to meet you

All I know is I was, enchanted to meet you
This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonder struck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew

This night is flawless, don't you let it go
I'm wonder struck, dancing around all alone
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you

This is me praying that this was the very first page
Not where the story line ends
My thoughts will echo your name, until I see you again
These are the words I held back, as I was leaving too soon
I was enchanted to meet you

Please don't be in love with someone else
Please don't have somebody waiting on you
Please don't be in love with someone else
Please don't have somebody waiting on you

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonder struck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
This night is flawless, don't you let it go
I'm wonder struck, dancing around all alone
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you

I know it's short but after the beginning monster chapter, I wanted to break with a filler :)
