Reader's POV
Your eyelids slowly pry open as you see a blurry view of your ceiling, you still feel the mask around you. Out of medicine, meaning you're going to be fine. You breathe in and out and it feels great. This calms you, but you can't help but feel hurt about the fact that everyone you didn't expect would help, actually helped you. Other than you know,
Mr. I-love-my-phone-so-much-that-I-smile-at-it-and-will-probably-marry-it-in-the-future.
It may be exaggerating but, really? C'mon. You thought he would be better than this, you thought—
"Mornin', baby." John said and pecked you on the forehead. How'd he get in front of you? Oh who cares, you have your boyfriend back. But you feel that you should give him a taste of his own medicine. So you do so, and be the coldest bitch in the universe.
"Hi." You say dryly, no expression shown on your face.
John's smile fades a bit and says, "Look, I know I was an ass yesterday but—"
"Yeah, yeah. 'I can explain.' I know I would be a bitch to not listen to you but you were a bitch yesterday. So it's fair enough for you to know how I felt, Egbert." You snapped.
His smile immediately disappeared and you tried to not give in to his puppy eyes. You turned the other way, your back faced to him, as you removed the mask and tossed it at him. "Why not explain to your phone, maybe it will listen to you." You finish and try to go back to sleep.
"Woah!" He said as he caught the mask, not ready as he almost dropped it trying to catch it.
You mentally pat yourself on the back for actually doing that without giving in. Great job, reader. Mission accomplished.
You then hear him sigh, now your heart starts becoming soft. He sits beside you with the little amount of space there was on the bed and he said quietly, "I'm sorry.."
You heart has fully melted and you put a hand to your face, you then sat up and hugged him from behind, your arms snaking around his waist and connecting with each other to embrace the sad windy boy in a tight hug.
"It's alright." You said and laid your head on his back.
He removed your arms from his waist, and stood up. He then faces you and carried you, as he did, he hugged you. "I'm sorry for being a dick."
You were startled but your expression then softened as you hugged him back. "I love you, egderp." You said.
"I love you more, baby." He replied and kissed you on the forehead.
"(F/n)!! John!! Breakfast!!" You both heard Sollux yell downstairs.
You both giggled and he gave you a piggy back ride down to the dining room for breakfast.
