It has been a dream of mine to be part of a franchise as important as this one, Jurassic world is the upcoming movie in the series and I'm hoping for the audition to go well.
As I'm preparing myself for the live chat with the director I hear Seth call my name from downstairs.
"Bryce , honey I need to go do you need any help with the computer?"
" I'm fine I'll work it out, don't worry I don't want you to be late! I think I know how to turn it on." I lie
Of course, Seth walks into the room to help, knowing I won't be able to get it started.
" You look so sexy today, is this a new shirt?" He asks with a gentle tone in his voice. I look straight into his hazel eyes and run my hands over his soft hair.
I blush as his hands reach my waist to pull me closer to him. He kisses my forehead before heading to the desk.
He gets the laptop and the camera working, in the mean time I apply the last touches to my hair. I go over the things I need to say , I feel my heart beat out of my chest ,I can't wrap my head around the idea that this could happen. I close my eyes to help me calm myself . The silence doesn't last long as I'm suddenly interrupted by Seth's hands around my stomach, I turn around to see his eyes piercing through mine. He reaches to move the hair out of my face whispers into my ear.
"Go for it, he'll definitely give you the part, call me once you finish so that I can hear how it went. Good luck!"
His words give me the confidence I need.
" I love you so much," I say in between.
"I love you more." He murmurs as he walks away closing the door behind him.
I take my phone out of my bag as I wait for the call, I am shaking right now and I dint know why exactly. I remind Seth to pick the kids up from school as soon as he finishes working! It takes him seconds to answer my text with a short response.
I take a seat on the chair and wait for the director to call.
It feels like it's been hours since I've been waiting for the call, the computer starts to ring and I move the mouse and click the green button.
The screen loads and I feel my nerves disappear into thin air as soon as the director appears.
" Hi , it's Bryce Dallas Howard right?" He asks making sure that he's not being rude.
" Yes, it's an honour Mr. Treverrow being able to be even having the opportunity for an audition."
" No, of course, I'm glad. You don't need to call me Mr. Treverrow, call me Colin !" He says and smiles at the end
The director starts to tell me his plans for the film, how he was going to plan a good time to film in Hawaii.
He plans to build the park and use the idea of mashing the stories together, he begins by asking me a few questions about my family, my father and my career.
"So Bryce I see that you've been in quite a few films! That's very good." He begins and takes a deep breath before continuing.
—"I want to tell you about the movie.. "
" ok." I interrupt
"The story starts off with a family of four who want to travel to the Jurassic world , sending their two boys for a fun family weekend with their aunt. Their aunt is the park manager who is responsible for the lives of the guests and of the staff, she is basically responsible for the bottom line." He stops and takes a sip from his coffee before advancing on the story.
—" the story continues when the park create a new species of dinosaur to excite their clients, but as you know everything goes horribly wrong when the dinosaur escapes. The aunts name is Claire Dearing and she asks a velociraptor trainer Owen Grady who also by the way have a small history together , she asks him to help her find her nephews who are stuck in the valley. The nephews then get into a situation where they have to save themselves from the hybrid dinosaur that the staff in the lab has created. Claire and Owen go into the valley to find her nephews and then run into the dinosaur them selves, fortunately for them they survive when the owner of the park takes the ACU on the helicopter to kill the Indominus Rex distracting the creature. Sadly helicopter gets itself in quite a situation when the dimphosaurs break free and crash into the helicopter and yes as you can tell no one survives because the helicopter explodes as it hits the ground
Claire and Owen make it back to the resort after knowing that her nephews Zach and Gray were safe, as they begin to look for them in the resort the flying Dinos begin to make the guests their own personal meals and one targets Owen .
Claire saves Owen and discovers her feeling for her colleague Owen. So within that she also finds her nephews."
The director rambles on how Claire and Owen save the park when Claire brings in the T-Rex in to kill the Indominus as well accompanied by one other dinosaur of course which is the velociraptor.. He tells me that Dr Wu takes the dinosaur embryos in order or innovate more animals for the navy. He finishes off by telling me a few more spoilers.
He plans on bringing in an animatronic dinosaur to keep the tradition from the first movie in the Jurassic park series. Which from my point of view,is good, I guess. Since I'm a huge fan.
The interview last for about 3 more hours we end up talking about our experiences with the first movie and how we grew up on the idea of the dinosaur park that Hammond attempted to create. He cuts the interview when he starts to thank me for my time.
" very well Bryce it was very nice meeting and talking to you, thank you for all your time and we'll call you soon!" He says
I don't realise the excitement in my voice until I hear the words pour out of my mouth..
" thank you so much!" I exclaim
He chuckles
"Goodbye."
I hang up and turn off the computer.
I sit in silence for a while and close my eyes.
