Chapter 20 Chris

I had such I good time, but it felt different, the way her hair was curly  and her green eyes looked at the ocean. I can just imagine her smile. I walk to my room and shut the door and walk to the bed, I let my things drop on the floor and I lay back onto the soft white duvet. I just can't believe how fast this has come, I'm in Jurassic world and I'm not imaging it. Holy shit! I close my eyes and let the ocean waves send me to sleep. I feel the warmth of the sun come into the room and the air conditioning hit my face. I'm woken by my Phone beside me. It's Anna. I quickly answer the phone and face the terrace.
-hey honey!- I say.
- hey Chris! How was the flight?- she asks as I reach to the mini bar.
- it was good actually. A lot more comfortable than I expected and right now the view is incredible!
-that's great I'm glad to hear that. I just wanted to know how you were.
-I really miss you guys already and I can't wait to see you and jack in like 4 months.- I tell her and I hear a small sigh come from the phone.
-yes so are we!- she says.
-are you okay sweetheart?- I ask her, slightly worried.
- I'm fine. Don't worry! We are waiting for you here—.- I hear a small voice call my wife name in the background. - Sweetheart I have to go but I'll see you soon yeah?- Anna says and I agree. When I hang up the phone and I hear a small knock at the door.
I get up to answer the door and when I turn the knob I hear my stomach rumble. I wish I had some food. It is so strange how Anna hung up. We've never hidden secrets from each other and it just worries me. Either way I can't worry about that now I have a movie to shoot. When I open the door Colin is standing outside.
- sorry to bother you Chris but the whole crew is heading downstairs for lunch are you going to join us?
-yeh just give me two seconds- I tell him and walk back to charge my phone. I turn away and hear small footsteps come in. I turn to the door to find Bryce in some white jeans and a blue shirt that make her curves stand out. Her hair is put up in a messy ponytail and some redish- pink lipstick has been put aswell. I notice she has her hands in her pockets and I hear her voice calling me. I snap back to reality.
- sorry haha- I say to her.
- haha don't worry we are both tired. It's been a long day.- she looks at me with a smile on her face and I walk towards her.
- are you coming to lunch?- she nods to me. I lead her to the door and put my hand on her back. I close the door behind me and we head to the elevator.
Bryce presses the button to the lower level that leads to the restaurant. Honestly I just can't wait to start filming the movie with her. We spend the elevator ride in silence, I start to fell some sort of tension between her and me and it's oddly calming. She looks at me and pulls out a smile and I smile back. I start to feel all the air being sucked out of the elevator and I begin to sweat... Hoping that it won't notice. The ride feels eternal and pray that it speeds up.
The doors slide out letting a fresh breeze sweep in through the doors, while Bryce and I step out making our way towards the restaurant.
We walk in silence and once we reach the doors we both search for the rest of the cast. It doesn't take me long before we notice a big group of people around a table, and I point it out to Bryce and we head to them. I feel the air filling my lungs again as I greet everybody. We all sit down and I get a seat next to Colin.
- Chris how are you feeling about the movie?- he ask me as I grab my napkin and set it on my legs
- overly excited it's amazing- I laugh and he joins in with me, we both look at the screen and watch the match against the Seahawks vs the colts.
- pass the ball, you can't do that- I shout and Colin laughs at me. I join in with him and we begin to talk about football, my eyes somehow move towards my costar. I don't realise it until Colin catches me in my daze and the conversation is flipped on about Bryce.
- you seem to be getting along easily huh?- he asks me and I look at him and nod.
- she's a delightful person, I bet it is going to be fun to film the movie with her- he nods at me and he informs me about the relationship between certain characters.
- so Claire and Owen have this tension between them after their first date doesn't go well, Owen finds it upsetting when Claire didn't want to sleep with him. So there is this tension that I hope you can catch for the audience.- Colin says and looks at my expression. I sort of blanked out for a second and. I don't know why to be honest.
I get through lunch and dessert, when we finish Bryce, Colin and I stand up and make our way to the door.
-alright you guys so I'll see you in the morning?- Colin asks and we both smile and agree. As Colin walks away to the reception office, Bryce and I wait for the elevator. In silence, we step in and I try to begin a conversation.
- so Colin told me about our characters and how they have  small history.- I turn to her.

- I know, it's rather interesting how they went out and it never went well I suppose.- she says and I agree.

-It'll be fun don't worry about it, plus its in Hawaii.- she laughs but my intention was just to make her smile. I feel the awkwardness slide and it begins to get comfortable, we reach out floor and we step out together. Bryce thanks me for holding the door for her and bushes and we walk down the hallway until we finally reach her room.

- right then, I'll see you tomorrow Chris- she says and I nod. I wait for her to say something else but she smiles and closes her door. When I reach for my key and grab my phone instead, when I turn it on I am surprised to find that Anna hasn't called me. My heart sinks and I walk to my room. No calls from Anna all day? I guess she's busy but I still wander why.
I am flying back soon so I'll see my son and Anna, it won't be long. What could change in the time I'm away?
