Chapter 11 Chris

It's Monday. I feel like sleeping in but remember the coffee I'm having with Bryce this morning. I'm having coffee with Ron Howard's daughter! I chuckle as that thought comes to mind. I open the drawers to my clothes. I grab some navy blue jeans and a white shirt, some clean  boxers and socks.

I let the water run in the meantime I finish making the bed. My phone begins to vibrate. I look over my shoulder and look at my screen.

Unknown number.

I click the answer key and wait for someone to speak.

-hello? I ask

- Mr Pratt, it's Colin Treverrow, the director of Jurassic world.

I feel my stomach turn and my eyes widen.

- Yes. How can I help you?

- Actually, I'd like to tell you that I have been able to come to an agreement with the crew of guardians of the galaxy and I would love it if you could be part of Jurassic World.

I stay silent, I'm going to be in Jurassic world. Holy shit!

- I'd love to, that's.. Oh god. Thank you so much for this opportunity!

- It's my pleasure! You'll be playing a velociraptor trainer. You'll be the male lead and your co-star as you might've guessed, is Bryce Dallas Howard.

I feel my heart jump and Bryce's name

- I'd, I can't wait. When do we start?

- I think we'll start this Friday. We'll be going over the scripts and well you know the procedure.

- Thank you so much Mr treverrow. Honestly this is an honour. 

- No problem, I'm really happy you'll be able to to do this movie.

- Thank you.

In that moment I hang up and head straight to the shower. I shower as fast as I can and get ready. I need to tell  Bryce I am going to be in the movie and she doesn't have to worry about the tweet.

I ruffle my hair in the towel and comb it then turn off the light and walk out.

Anna left a while ago for another movie she is shooting and the babysitter is downstairs with jack.

- Caroline I'll be heading out for a while. Take care of jack and if he gets hungry there are some chicken nuggets in the fridge.

She nods and I kiss Jack goodbye before leaving the house. 

I get into the car and turn the engine on. I put my jacket on the passenger seat and head straight to the restaurant where I am meeting Bryce.

We are having more of a breakfast than a coffee.

I arrive at the restaurant quicker than I thought I would. I walk to the entrance and the lady at the reception desk asks me.

-reservation?

I nod and asks for the name it was put under. I'm Guessing Bryce put it with her name so I decide with that.

- Bryce, Bryce Dallas Howard?

- Oh yes. You are the first to arrive would you like me to lead you to the table?

- Yes! If it's possible.

The lady leads me to a table in the corner of the restaurant. I sit down and put my jacket behind me and wait for Bryce to arrive.

I hear some heels behind me and a familiar voice. I turn around to see Bryce. She catches sight of me and tells the lady she knows where to go.

I get up to greet her and as she catches up to me, we  hug.

- I'm so sorry! There was so much traffic. Has it been long since you arrived? She asks me as she sets down her stuff.

- No, don't worry About it. How are you?

- I'm good, you?

- honestly. I'm great actually I have really good news.

As soon as I mention that I catch her attention. She freezes her actions and turns her face towards me.

- Well, Colin called me this morning. He mentioned something about Jurassic world.

Her face lit up in a way I can't explain.

- He called to confirm that we will be co stars of Jurassic world.

It looked as though she was trying to process because I could see her eyes widen and a smile grow on her face.

- Bryce? Are you ok? I laugh and she breaks out of her daze.

- I can't believe it. So it's definitely happening? Well start shooting soon.

- Yes. Honestly I'm really excited for it.

We both get up and hug, the hug is warm and slightly awkward. I break the embrace and we both stare into each other's eyes, Bryce looks away and I do the same. We sit back down and we look at the menu.

When the waitress comes to take our order Bryce asks for a cup of water. The waitress leaves us. I decide to ask her about the movie and if she knows something about it.

Our phones vibrate and we glance down. I hear Bryce giggle and I look down at the text.

We will have the first meeting/reading for Jurassic world this Saturday. Hope to see you all there.

I look at Bryce and it looks as though she's about to jump out of her seat. I laugh with her. She's has such a nice laugh. 

the waitress comes with our food and drinks, I reach out for the salt and so does Bryce. As soon as we make contact our eyes lock and I move my hand away so that she can use it before me.

I see her face turn red and she smiles.

We talk for the entire afternoon and evening, I don't want to say goodbye to her yet, I know she needs to go. I can't wait to see her again on Saturday.

- I'll see you on Saturday then. Thank you so much Chris I've had s much fun.

- It was my pleasure Bryce. I'll see you soon.

We hug and she gets in her car in the meantime I wait for mine. 

I'm going to be in Jurassic world with Bryce Dallas Howard replays over in my head and I smile at the thought.
