I lead Ron and his daughter Bryce to the table. My wife catches sight of me and gets up for, the table to stand next to me. Bryce greets Anna when she reaches us.
"Bryce, this is my wife Anna."I tell her.
"Hi Anna, it's so nice to meet you." She says
" same here Bryce." Anna smiles and starts a conversation with Bryce.
We take a seat at the table, Anna takes a seat on my right and Bryce on the left.
A group of people call Anna over and waves at them.
"Chris, I'll be right back, I'm going to say hi to a few friends ok?" She asks.
I look into her eyes and I tell her to go Ahead, she then leans down to kiss me.
Anna and I have a two year old son, jack, he is a wonderful child but Anna and I want different things for him. We disagree on what jack can and cannot do, and somehow she always gets her way.
As soon as my wife leaves I turn to Bryce who is talking to her dad, she turns to me as soon as she feels my presence.
" hey so I heard that, um the director of Jurassic world has casted you for the movie."I whisper.
"No, well, I mean yes. He did cast me I'm super excited for the movie though I'm such a big fan of speilbergs work!" She exclaims.
"Me too, the first time I went to see it was-" but she interrupts.
"Was opening weekend." We both say at the same time.
She giggles and begins to tell me about herself.
"Well,I'm married and have two kids." She starts off.
" how old are they?" He asks
"Well, theo is 6 and Trice is 3. How about you do you and Anna have any kids?" She asks politely.
" yes, actually our son, jack is 2." I share with Bryce.
" Chris I just wanted to tell you that your wife is so lovely." She says, making me look over to where Anna is surrounded by people.
"Thank you so much." I turn to her and put my hand on hers.
I see her expression change as soon as she feels the contact. When she looks down at her hand Anna comes back.
Bryce and I turn away from each other and welcome back Anna to the table.
Anna looks at me suspiciously and finally says.
"I just came back to get my purse, Chris I'll be in the bathroom I'll be back in a few minutes." She says as she walks away.
I look at Bryce and she looks at me, I heard that the director was looking to cast me for the movie but I'm also filming guardians of the Galaxy at the same time, I dint say that to her so I just smile at her and finally get my mouth to say something to her.
"Why don't you pass me your phone number? I'll give you mine and we can keep in contact." I say making her smile.
"Sure uh here." She writes it down for me on a piece of paper and hands it to me, I put it into my phone.
Seconds later I give her mine and she puts it into her purse.
The rest of the night we get to know each other better, we got along pretty well. But as they were going to start with the speeches a man, in a blue tuxedo, scruffy hair and bluish eyes steps into the hall accompanied by a skinny woman with long brunette hair and a white dress. which catches Bryce's attention.
Bryce stands up and drops her purse, I see the colour drain from her face and I begin to worry. She doesn't look back to get her purse, he eyes begin to water and I realise by her expression, she knows him.
"Bryce, is everything ok?" I ask her handing her the purse.
She turns to look at me and takes a deep breath before telling her dad something.
" dad we should go." She tells him and he looks confused but agrees to her request.
" it was so nice meeting you Chris." She smiles before walking towards the exit.
