I woke up early to do breakfast. Memories of my dad sleeping on the couch and mom sleeping earlier without eating broke my heart. I got ready and head to the kitchen. I passed through the living room and saw mom and dad sitting across from each other.

"Morning." I said with a fake smile just to make them feel better.

"Sweetheart, please sit down. We need to tell you something." My mom said with weary eyes patting next to her. I slowly walked to them and my dad sighed heavily covering his face.

"It's for the best." my dad said sitting at the edge of the couch. I moved my head to the side in confusion. "I'm terribly sorry, sweetheart." He said eyes locked on the floor.

"Come on (your dad's name) just spill it!" My mom said standing up.

"It's not easy, alright!!" He yelled.

"You don't think it was hard for me to find your little dirty secret."

"Okay!! I have a lover." Dad said standing up. "It has been going on for quite some time, I tried to get out but couldn't." He said sitting back down. I didn't change my expression but it did hurt me, a lot. Dad cheated on mom?

"I'll do breakfast." I said after a while of just sitting-mom standing- and looking at the floor.

"There, you told her now get out!" Mom yelled pointing to the door. Dad nodded and walked to the door grabbing a suite case. So he's actually leaving?

"Wait!" I said going back to the living room. "We can fix this. Just after breakfast-"

"No, (y/n) it's not the same anymore." Mom said placing her hand on my shoulder. Dad hugged me and I hugged back and then, he just left. Without a word. I kept still standing there speechless, mom just walked away. I sat on the couch and just looking at the coffe table in front.

It's been a couple hours after dad left. I haven't eaten even if mom begged and I haven't moved from my seat. My mom told me what happened; I'm mad, sad, confused, a confused mess.

Dad has been seeing his lover for some years now, she knew I existed and he was married. That's why he worked later and left earlier. She won the trip for dad so they can spend time alone but when he told mom he was leaving she wanted to go, he couldn't say no. After a week on the cruise mom woke up in the middle of the night and didn't see dad next to her. She walked around the empty boat's halls and found him with the woman.

They fought and decided to end it. Mom was broken but, in her words: "Was I sad? Hell yeah, a marriage that lasted more than 20 years of course. But then, I thought it through and it clicked that. The sparks did leave years ago. We tried to make it come back but nothing. I got out the room and had fun like I was a single woman having fun without responsibility."

I may crack a smile when she said that just imaging my mom all wild. She hugged me and promised everything will be okay.

I need to believe that.

"I'm sorry, honey."

"It's fine, Andy. I just need to be like mom and not think of it. I never thought he'll do that to us you know? He isn't like that." I said playing with my bed sheets covers.

"No, since I'm probably will never met them." Andy said rolling his eyes.

"Oh come on, you will just wait. Soon, I promise." I said smiling through the digital screen. He smiled back and I felt better.

Just seeing his smile made me feel like the universe doesn't matter, only us two alone.

"Aaaa~ I hear (y/n)'s voice...! Hi~" C.C said waving as he turned the laptop his way across from Andy.

"Hi C.C." I smiled as I heard Andy faintly say a "hey stop."

"We promise we'll see each other soon (y/n)! To your favorite holiday." C.C said topping his mouth and running away. I laughed shaking my head and Andy moved the laptop back.

"She already knew that!" Andy yelled at c.C.

"How are things going in Europe?" I asked.

"Fun like always. Our army is growing which is the good part of the tour."

"That's nice. Its cool seeing more people entering the army." I nodded.

After the Skype call I ate dinner and got ready for bed, tomorrow Is the first day of work.
