VII:Ash

Chapter 7 - Ash 

Our group is currently on our sixteenth stop but we are four hours early. It is only 2:00 and we are killing time under a hut, revising or adding things to our paper. Chesca’s five papers are nearly filled and now she is starting to write on the back portions. I only filled the front portions of my first sheet and I is only halfway on the second, Jay had his fourth sheet being scrawled. Even Gale seems to enjoy the tour; he filled all two sheets and is nearly done at the third. I seem to be the only one not into this. 

“Hey.” Gale interrupts my observing them. 

I look at him questioningly. 

“Nothing. Why did you stop writing?” 

“I don’t know what to write anymore,” I say truthfully.

“Write anything. You see, I even wrote the people’s skin colors like how black or yellow they are,” Gale says. I laugh.

“Seriously?” 

“Yes. Might as well let them read since they did force us into this,” he retorts.

“Yes. But at least you’re enjoying yourself.”

“Well, this town is pretty amazing,” he replies then goes back to writing. He raises the third full sheet and whistle.

“I think my hand-writing is improving, too.”

I giggle then say, “I don’t think that will ever improve.”

Gale just frowns and starts to write in his fourth sheet. I heave a big sigh and stare at my papers:

1.        Food Market- Huge but very noisy. People here is almost unbearable, they look at us like we are cockroaches. It also kind of smells.

2.        Clothing Market- Clothes are suitable for weather but expensive.

3.        Convenience Market- Very hot place. Too many people.

4.        Hardware Store- They barely sell anything. But the owner is very dear. 

5.        Town Library- Lots of books and comfortable enough.

6.        Town Square- People Park. For strolling. Also for public announcing

7.        Fire Dome- A Park specifically for fire using Rounins. Nasty hot outside. Others not allowed entering. Gale looked refreshed when he went out from it.

8.        Water Dome- For water using Rounins only. Jay had fun, he said.

9.        Earth Dome- Chesca entered. She says it’s amazing.

10.      Air Dome- I entered, small place. There’s no one there, only the virtual guide. I didn’t exactly had fun but the flowers looks nice and the air is cool unlike the moist and hot air outside.

11.      Zap Dome- For lightning users. It doesn’t look fun since every second there’s a suspicious looking light emanating from the small dome.

12.      Hospital- Jay refused to enter here. Hilarious.

13.      Coliseum- It’s for staging things to be staged.

14.      Trading Center- Busiest place I have ever seen. All kinds of people are to be found here.

15.      Municipal Hall- Cramped place.

16.     Crsltc School- Elementary, Secondary, College kids.

I look expectantly at Jay. He gives me a smile but does not help me.
