Adam and I stayed up until 6 a.m catching up. It was so great to finally talk to him again, he hasn't changed a bit which I'm extremely happy for because he's so perfect. He's like an older brother to me, I am an only child so it's nice having a brother figure.
"Where are you staying now?" I ask him curiously. He shrugs and looks at me. "I rented a hotel early morning yesterday, so that's where all my stuff is." I look around my small living room. "You can stay here for now." I blurt out. I regret it, I didn't mean it, but I can't take it back. It's not that I don't want him here but I just like my privacy.
"No it's alright." I shake my head at his response. "No Adam, you're staying here." I demand. I'm so confident on the outside but on the inside I'm so regretful. He laughs and shakes his head. "Fine." he says in defeat. I smile in satisfaction. "So, here's my keys. I'm trusting you with them and my car! So go get your stuff while I'm out with Sammy!" I know I'll regret this later but right now I have no care in the world. I just gave away my privacy so what else is there to really care for besides my friends?
Hours later:
Sammy and I decided to go and visit Jaxin Hall at Key Street. He was kind of surprised to hear that Adam was back. "You guys have to leave, it's getting pretty swamped in here." Jaxin says as he gets up. I look around and see only a few customers. I knew what he was doing. He was expecting somebody to come to the shop and I know who it is, Tony Perry.
"Oh no, I'll help you, I can work behind the counter for you. Go and help some costumers." I push Jaxin out from behind the counter and I pull Sammy to my side to help me. "But-"."Go!" I demand before he can even make an excuse for me to leave. I smile and laugh a little as he walks away to go and assist costumers. "Good job, so your not going to fangirl, right?" Sammy asks as he checks out a young, fit, tall, brunette girl.
I hear the bell from the door and I don't bother to look up. "I'm going to assist the brunette." Sammy says as he walks away. I have no time to try and pull him back to my side. I sigh loudly and shuffle my feet from side to side. "Jaxin never told me he hired a pretty girl to work behind the counter." A familiar voice says. I snap my head up and there he is. Pure perfection, standing right in front of me. My mouth drops and I can't find any words.
"Are you alright?" He asks me. I nod and take a deep breath. "I don't work here, I told Jaxin I'd help him out in the shop today.. But Uh, you are..?" I try to ask. He knows that I know who he is. He laughs and looks in my eyes. "You're Alexis, right?" he asks me. I kind of freak out a little inside, okay we all know that's a lie. I freaked out a lot inside.
I nod shyly and he laughs. "Jaxin has told me all about you. He said you would fangirl when you meet me but I guess he lied, you don't know who I am." he pouts and the look in his eyes makes me melt. "You're Tony Perry. Of course I know you!" I blurt out. He laughs and nods. "Good." He smiles his famous smile and I just about die. "Well he lied about the fangirl part." I laugh but quickly stop to see Jack Barakat come in. "Jack...Barakat?" I mumble.
My mouth falls open once again and Tony laughs. "Jack! Come meet Alexis!" Tony shouts. Jack skips over with Jaxin and Jaxin looks at me and laughs. "She didn't fangirl!?" he asks surprised. "No, she's cool man!" Tony says. Jack comes behind the counter and gets on his knee and kisses my hand. "Jack Barakat at your service." I giggle and I can feel myself blush. He laughs and stands up.
Jack made me get out from behind the counter so that Tony could have a good look at me. "You're beautiful." Tony says to me. I look at him and laugh. "Me?" I ask. He nods his head and moves closer to me. "Tony! Come check out our new shipment!" Jaxin shouts from the back. "I'll be back." Tony says a he disappears into the back.
Now it's just Jack and I. He smells so good, he looks so hot in person. I catch myself just gawking at him. Hopefully he didn't notice. I look around and Jack coughs making me turn to face him again. "Tony likes you." He says in a little kid voice. I laugh and shake my head. "He just met me, plus I'm just a fan." I mumble. For some reason I feel so laid back and comfortable with Jack. He's so awesome. "Did you see the way he was staring at you? He clearly likes you!" Jack argues and I give in. "Maybe." I sigh and look around for Sammy.
Suddenly I feel depressed and all I want to do is go home and sleep. "Sammy, I'm not feeling good, can you drive me home?" I ask Sammy as quietly as I can. "Are you sure?" He asks unsure. I nod and put my head down. "Alright." He sighs and looks over at the brunette whose smiling at him. "Actually, no it's alright. You and her can go back to your place or something. I'll be fine." Lies, you won't be fine! Sammy smiles and hugs me. "Feel better darling." He pulls away and grabs the girls hand and leaves the store with her. I guess I'm walking home.
"Hey guys, I'm not feeling so great. I'm going to walk home. Nice meeting you guys." I go to walk away but Jaxin grabs my wrist and I wince in pain as the material of my sweater rubs on my fresh cuts. "Alexis, what's going on?" He asks. I pull my wrist away and I shrug. "I just want to go home." I mumble. I feel a lump in my throat and I try my hardest to swallow it. "Wait until I close, I can drive you." Jaxin pleads and looks into my eyes, he knows what's wrong.
I can't hold it back anymore. "No, I'm going to go." My voice cracks and tears start streaming down my face. I run out of the store and I try to run down the street but I just can't. "Alexis! Wait, it's Tony. Please wait!" I hear his footsteps get louder. I have no energy to run anymore, my tears just keep coming and I can't help it.
Tony approaches me and he looks in my eyes and tries to study my face. "What's wrong?" he asks. I laugh without humor. "Everything!" I shout. I don't want to tell him, I don't need his pity. I don't need anybodies pity! "Alexis, please. Let me drive you home at least?" He begs and he keeps trying to study my face. "Fine." I say in defeat. I didn't feel like walking anyways. I probably would of gave up and slept in the park. Tony dragged me over to his car and made sure I was in before closing the door and getting in the drivers side.
After getting lost a few times, Tony finally understood what I was trying to tell him and pulled in front of my building. "Can I get your number?" Tony asks me. I'm completely shocked, I come back to reality. I'm in Tony Perry's car and he's asking me for my number. I nod and stick my hand out. He laughs and hands me his phone. I quickly put my number in and hand his phone back. "So, I'll see you tomorrow?" He asks. I nod without thinking. I open the door and get out.
I start walking up to the door when Tony gets out of his car and runs over to me. "Wait." I turn and look at him and he cups my face and leans down and kisses me. I'm so surprised. I don't know what to do, should I kiss back? His lips are so soft, so gentle. I kiss back and he moves closer, our bodies are touching. I feel butterflies in my stomach, I've never felt like this before.
We eventually stopped kissing and my knees went weak. I feel as if I was just touched by an angel. "Thanks... For the ride." I mumble. He laughs and kisses my head. "I'll text you when I get home beautiful." He whispers to me. I get chills down my back and it brings a smile to my face. I get the courage to go on my toes and kiss him one last time. I have no idea where the sudden encouragement came from but it was a great feeling.
I waited until Tony drove away to go inside to my apartment. My mind was stuck on Tony and how perfect he was. His lips were so unbelievably soft. As I walk in I see Adam just sitting on the couch. I close the door and I know I have a huge idiotic smile but I don't give two shits. "Wow, somebodies happy. Did Sammy give you some?" He asks. I laugh loudly and shake my head. "I met a certain somebody and that certain somebody drove me home and kissed me a long goodnight kiss." Just talking and thinking about it gave me butterflies.
"Who!?" Adam asks enthusiastically. "You won't believe me." I mumble. "Tell me you whore!" He shouts. I laugh and run and plop on the couch beside him. "Tony, fucking turtle, Perry!" I shout. His mouth drops and as he goes to say something my phone goes off. I quickly pull it out of my pocket to see a text from Tony.
Tony Perry:
Hey beautiful, I miss your gorgeous face already and your soft lips. Can't wait to see you tomorrow :)
I just die. I squeal and do a happy dance. "What!?" Adam grabs my phone and reads the message. "Oh my god, it's true!" he shouts.
I was finally feeling happy, a real type of happy. I didn't feel like I had to fake it. Could it be that Tony Perry, from Pierce The Veil, is the cure to my depression and is my happiness!? Suddenly I felt like there was no need to be upset, I felt like for once, everything would be okay.
