Walking up the stairs of the girl dorms I noticed Xavier already being there. He leant against the wall, arms crossed in front of his chest and he was looking at a point, far, far away. He was so deep in his thoughts he didn't notice when I stood next to him. I waved my hand in front of his face. Immediately he snapped out of his thoughts, he looked at me, first confusdd, but then he smiled.
"Has anyone ever told you, you have the most fascinating eyes?" He asked.
"What's so special about them?" I asked. He smiled.
"They're yellow. Yellow like the moon" He said, something in his voice when he said that gave me the creeps.
"Okay, want to go to the Great Hall now? I'm hungry, time for breakfast!" I said, desperately wanting to leave the subject of my yellow eyes and the moon, especially the connection between them, behind.
I grabbed his arm and started to pull him with me.
"Hey! Slow down, the food ain't running away!" Xavier laughed, it sounded as music in my ears. I slowed down a bit. "So.. tell me something about yourself" He said on the walk to the Great Hall.
"Well, I'm sixteen.. almost seventeen years old. Three months from now. I always lived with my father, that's what many people don't know about me and the most who do, don't like me or are scared of me" I said.
"How could they be scared of you, such a small little girl?!" He teased.
"Believe me, you don't know what I'm capable of" I said smiling.
"I believe you" He laughed.
Xavier laughed quickly, that's nice. Someone who's fun.

When we walked into the Great Hall I recognized my three favorite people at the Gryffindor table. I waved at them, they waved back at me, signing I had to come to them.
"I'm sorry" I mouthed back to them. "Tell me more about yourself, you already know about me" I said while turning to Xavier.
We walked to the Slytherin table and sat down while he told me told his life story.
"I was born in Texas, loved it there. When I was five my parents separated, I went with my mum and we moved to Canada, where she came from. I was seven when my older sister died in a car crash. My mother was depressed and when I was ten she decided we couldn't stay there any longer. So we moved to Romania, where her best friend lived. She was single and had many space left in her house so she took us in. When I was twelve I ran away from home, I bought a plane ticket and flew to Texas. I wanted to look for my father" He sighed, he looked so deep in his thoughts. Like the memories where happening again in front of his eyes. I felt so sorry for him, his life was worse than mine, he had lost so many people. I never had people, so I wasn't able to lose any "of course I never found him. I went back home to my mother in Romania when I was thirteen. She had stopped eating a year after I had left her, I helped her get over it again. I was fourteen when I finally got to go to school. Durmstrang, but like with everything in my life, it couldn't last. Last year my mum suddenly got a break down. So badly her friend made me come back home to Romania. After half a year the school said that if I wouldn't come back they wouldn't want me back. My mother was still weak. So I made a hard choice. Family is more important then education or success. Why would I want to go to school, get good grades and get a nice job if my mother wouldn't be there to see it all? I didn't go back to school, so they kept their promise, I wasn't welcome anymore. Mum's better now, tough. So I decided on going back to school, here I am. Mum's still sad. But she's a strong woman, with strength comes sadness, because she has seen and knows more then most. The more you know, the less happy you are"
We were both so struck by the his life story I didn't notice the flying pumpkin cake in our way. Just at the last moment.. a wave of pumpkin struck my nostrils.
"Watch out" I yelled at Xavier. We both dove and the pumpkin cake flew just over our heads and hit the wall behind us. I turned and looked over at the Gryffindor table. To see three really guilty boys. "Sorry for that" I said to Xavier.
"Nah. Don't be sorry, they are just dumbasses" I rolled my eyes.
"Indeed and morrons, dork faces, losers, prats, gits-" I could go on for ages but Xavier interrupted me.
"They are your best friends, aren't they?" He asked. I smiled and turned to wave at the Gryffindor table. The three boys were sniggering while watching us, I waved. They waved back and George stuck out his tongue, of course I returned the favour.
"You bet they are"
