After spending four hours on the beach, my friends and I finally left at around 6. We went back to the motel, got cleaned and dressed so we could go out and eat. Restaurants around here all close at around 8 so we left the motel at 6:45.
"Naeya! Hurry the fuck up, dang!" Kendra rushes me for the nth time.
"Okay, okay!" I called back. Ugh. I really need to learn to hurry up. If I were at home, however, I'd probably be the first person done.
Finally at 6:45 we met the boys outside at the van and got going. Kendra drove, though I protested. She is really clumsy. If anything happens to the van, what would we do? What would my parents do?
We drove around the Harvey's beach area, restaurants all around us. There's Karrey's Krabs, Seafood Severn, and other seafood restaurants.
"Ew." I groan. "I like sea food but not that much."
"Come on. Have you even had lobster before?" Caressa asks me.
"Yeah, that one time Kendra forced me to." I glare at her and she laughs from the driver's seat.
"You don't know if you like something or not if you haven't tried it."
"Uh...I smelled it, and it smelt gross," I state. "Your sense of smell of actually used to taste."
Six gives me a look that says, ooook?
"Okay, Janaeya." Erick looks back at me from the front seat beside Kendra. "We know your smart. Don't gotta shove your preppy, smart ass up our ass."
I sit back I my seat.
"You just wish you put in more effort in high school," I smoothly say back. "I told you it was gonna bite you in the ass later, didn't I?"
Erick mumbles something, his he's back on the road.
"Wh-I'm sorry. What was that?" I place a hand behind my ear and then my head so it's facing him.
He ignores me.
"That's what I thought."
We decide on Chick-fil-a though it was a little far at from the beach. Whatever, I'd choose chick-fil-a over any deluxe cuisine any day. Okay, sometimes, but I'm seriously not a big fan of seafood.
Back at the motel, we gather in the boys' room. I told Susanne about the mess in our motel room and she said she'd send someone up to check it out.
"Thank you," I said.
"Yup." She eyed the Chick-fil-a bag in my hand. "Hm...Sarah loved chick-fil-, too."
"K-Kelsey?"
"Oh, my lovely daughter." Her smile was sad again. She looked at me as if she was looking at Sarah. Oh, God...what do you say when some is sad?
"Oh...well, yeah, it's my favourite!" I hugged the bag to my chest and quickly spun around, rushing to get out of there.
