Chapter 8

Mario P.O.V

A smile crept across my face when Money recognized who I was. He might of been Harlem's most ruthless but I'm a legend in these streets! Serenity looked at me and frowned. "Mommy who is that?" Serenity asked. "Dada" Mahogany said smiling. The biggest smile in the world spread across my face. I picked up Mahogany, "You remember" I said kissing both of her chubby cheeks. Mahogany giggled and threw her arms around my neck. I looked over at Money and I saw hurt all in his face. Serenity wasn't going. "No Mahogany that's not our daddy!" Serenity pouted and ran over to Money. "Stubborn just like me" I mumbled smiling. "Serenity come here baby" Simone said tearing up. "If it's too much right now, we can take it slow" I said. All of this was tearing up their home and that wasn't what I intended to do. I kissed Mahogany once more and I said my goodbyes. "Money thanks man, I can tell they adore you" I threw over my shoulder as I left. Simone followed me out and closed the door behind us.

Simone P.O.V

I followed Mario outside and studied his face. I know Serenity had really hurt his feelings. "She'll come around" I assured him. He nodded and looked away. "What you thinking about" I asked him as we began to walk to his car. "What happened to us?" Mario asked after a moment of silence. "You left Mario! You couldn't have expected me to wait around forever" I said shaking my head. "Simone I told you I was coming right back and I came RIGHT BACK! You let the lil nigga sweep you off your feet that quick! You let him fill in my place, my fucking daughter don't even know me! My first daughter, I'm supposed to be her hero!" Mario yelled. I looked away as tears threatened to spill. "You had a son on me while I was pregnant with Serenity! We had Mahogany to make up for you cheating, you left because you loved her more than me" I said just above a whisper. Mario grabbed me and hugged me. "I never loved nobody as much as I love you Simone. You gave me my first child at 16, I was young but I came right back" Mario whispered. My dad pulled up breaking our embrace. "Pops" Mario said throwing his hands up. I turned away and wiped my face. My father
smiled and hugged Mario and then pulled away, his face turned serious. "Where the fuck you been at?" he asked. "Pops I been looking for them, but she been dodging me! I finally got her number when I seen April ass" Mario said. My dad scowled when my mother's name came up. Mario dapped Jeremy and Jayrian and kissed me on the cheek before leaving.

Damon P.O.V

Serenity cried in my arms after Simone and I explained to her over and over how Money was her real daddy. "I'm gone always be your daddy Reni, I just didn't help mommy bring you into the world okay?" I soothed her. Simone looked torn as tears ran down her cheeks. "I'm sorry baby, it's all mommy's fault! I should've made sure you were ready before I brought him here" she cried walking out the room. I kissed Serenity and laid her and Mahogany down for a nap. Simone was curled up in the bed rubbing her stomach as the tears continued to pour. I hated seeing my girls cry. "Baby it's not your fault, it was time for the man to see his kids. I wouldn't want you keeping my baby away from me" I said rubbing her stomach. I couldn't lie and say the whole situation wasn't getting to me because it was. The thing that shocked me the most is that I knew Trigg. Did business with him a few times! I'm starting to think all of this was planned. But I can't knock him for actually wanting to be there for the girls. Cause that's what real men do, take care of their kids!

Simone P.O.V

Damon been spending a lot of time with Serenity lately trying to get her to come around about Mario. We were on our way to my doctors appointment to find out how far along I actually am. We were thinking 3 almost 4 months. But the doctor told us 5 almost 6 months. "5 months!" I screamed. Damon laughed, "How didn't you know?" he asked in between laughs. "Would you like to find out the sex?" Dr. Lansing asked. "We already know it's a boy, but you can tell us any way" Damon said confidently. "What if I told you that I detect two heart beats?" Dr. Lansing asked smiling.  My mouth dropped opened and tears formed. "And what if I told you they're boys?" Dr. Lansing asked pointing out their little body parts. Damon smiled like a true proud papa. I was happy but I was still nervous about having two new additions to the family. I burst out crying. "What are we gone do with two more mouths to feed?" I whined as we left. Damon just smiled, he was on a natural high.
