Chapter 13

"What you doing here?" I asked Simone. "Hey baby, we just doing some shopping" Simone said. I looked at the dudes that were still standing here. "Oh that's Malcolm, Shaneka's boyfriend-" Simone said pointing to the taller one of the two. "Ex" Shaneka cut her off. "Why you doing me like that?" Malcolm asked pretending to be hurt. I chuckled, "Looks like you got company bruh" Malcolm said making us all look. Candace wobbled towards us. I looked at Simone and she looked at Candace. "Aren't you gonna introduce ya lil friend?" Shaneka snapped. I walked away and towards Candace before she reached us. "Go get you some to eat and I'll meet you over there" I said handing her $40. I turned around and Simone and her cousin were heading towards the door. "That must be Simone" Candace said getting annoyed. I jogged to catch up with Simone. When I caught up Shaneka blocked me from getting to her. "Move man" I said trying to go around her. "She don't wanna fucking talk to you, go cater to yo bitch!" Shaneka yelled. "Watch yo fucking mouth about my baby mama!" I growled. I regretted it soon as it left my lips. "I fucking knew it!" Simone screamed charging at me. I grabbed her arms and pushed her towards the door. "Get the fuck off of me!" Simone Screamed. "Listen!" I growled. She stopped resisting and cried in my arms. I watched as Malcolm held Shaneka from coming outside. "Go home, just go home Simone!" I whispered. "Lets go Simone! Malcolm move, it I'd my business, that's my whole fucking cousin! Nah my mafuckin sister" Shaneka snapped breaking free from Malcolm's grip. I walked back in the mall and Shaneka kept talking shit.

"You know what go home to wifey and your kids, me and Destiny don't need you! I'll go find me a man that really wanna be with me!" Candace screamed. I sighed and kept carrying her bags into the house. "Leave them at the door! I don't need your help! Go home Money!" she yelled blocking my path. Tears began to pour down her cheeks and it killed me to see her hurt. Candace has always been there for me, right or wrong. I sat the bags down and tried to reach for her, she snatched the bags in the house and slammed the door. "FUCK YOU MONEY!" I heard Candace yell from behind the door. I walked to my car and just sat there. I really fucked up this time!

2 Days later

Candace P.O.V

Its been two days since I've heard from Damon and it was killing me. "Girl just call him!" my best friend Diamond whined. "What am I supposed to say Moni?" I whined rubbing my belly as Destiny began to kick. "I don't know Candy but I'm tired of you moping around! And you stressing my God baby out!" Diamond said rubbing my stomach. I winced as I felt a pain shoot up my back. Diamond jumped up and helped me sit up. "Candy you alright?" Diamond asked concerned. I smiled despite the pain I was in. I stood up and almost fell over, pains started shooting everywhere. "Moni get me to a hospital!" I screamed holding my stomach.

"I'm glad you came when you did Ms. Rollins, you've been putting your baby girl under a lot of stress, we're going to have to do an emergency C-section" Dr. Lansing said. Everything was happening so fast. I sobbed as they began to prep me. "Can I at least call my daughter's father first?" I asked. "Make it snappy!" Dr. Lansing urged. I had Diamond call Damon and put him on speaker. He answered on the first ring.

Damon-  "Yeah"

Me- "Money I need you"

I broke down.

Damon- "Whats wrong Candy?"

Me- "They giving me a C-section"

Damon- "I'm on the way"

Damon hung up before I could even respond. I burst into tears and Diamond wiped them away. "Everything gone be alright baby" she assured me. I just wanted Money!

Simone P.O.V

Money never came home that day when I had that run in with Candace. I was worried because I didn't get a call nor text. "He probably been staying with that bitch!" Shaneka growled. I laid my head on her shoulder. "I guess we really done this time" I shrugged and then burst into tears. Shaneka pulled me into her and rubbed my belly. "Give me your phone" she demanded. O handed it to her and she called Money. Soon as he answered we heard a baby crying I snatched the phone and hung up. Shaneka held me as I sobbed.

Riah and Courtney took the girls to the mall with the so I could have a break. Shaneka was doing her best to take my mind off Money and his new baby. "What if he don't come back home?" I whined. Shaneka just kept wiping my tears. Damon walked through the door and right past us. I watched him walk upstairs and then I heard the bedroom door closed. "Go up there, you deserve an explanation!" Shaneka urged. I got up and wobbled up the stairs. I walked in the room and he was in the bathroom. I picked up his phone and a picture of what I'm guessing was of his daughter flawed across the screen. He walked out the bathroom and stared at me. "She's beautiful" I said just above a whisper as I handed him his phone. He grabbed it and threw it on the bed. "Come here" Money said reaching for me. I let him hold me. "Where you been Money?" I asked. "Thinking, and then I got a call Destiny was coming" he said. A part of me was relieved that he wasn't staying at her house. We broke our embrace when we heard screaming downstairs. Money ran out the room, me right at his heels. Jayriah was on the floor holding her chest crying. "What's wrong?" I screamed running to her side. "Something's wrong with Jayrian!" Riah cried.
