A few days after that little meeting with Ashton, I've come to realize one thing. Obviously I'm so late about. Ashton wasn't suspended like Arden.
I mean Arden wouldn't start the fight seeing as how he's small as fuck compared to Ashton. Then there's the fact that, he's not that stupid.
But at the end, Arden got suspended instead. Poor guy.
At the end of the day, I run to my locker and take out all the binders I need for my homework. Right before I'm about to pull out the last one, I have it slammed shut by the one and only Ashton.
"Whaaaaaaa," On the inside I want to scratch his sadly, attractive face, but I end up just trying to open my locker again.
"Today we'll be doing 3 exercises that will have to be done at the indoor track."
Yes, we have an indoor track, but it's not that fancy.
He sounded really into his project and I look over at him in confusion and then take out the last notebook I need and slam my locker shut.
"Can't it wait another day? I have loads of homework to do."
"Nope, the exercises are spread out to have the whole week booked of activities that Luis is going to record."
My mind quickly scans through the people I know and finally Luis comes to mind.
"That's your partner? The kid who apparently smuggled pot into the janitors closet? I thought he got suspended or expelled! Dude how is he even here?"
Ashton just shrugged and started explaining what we were going to do. While he talked I texted my parents that I'll be doing a project at the park with a couple of classmates.
The indoor track was just the building next to school so we didn't walk that far.
The plan was to go to the track, check our pulses before doing activities. Then do the activity and record the pulse of our heartbeat. After each exercise we'd rest and wait for the pulse to go back to normal.
See, I wouldn't really mind doing this, but there's two things bothering me.
1- Ashton
2- I'm way out of shape
I haven't done anything in the past few months so running is torture. So of course, we're running around the park for the first activity.
"Don't expect me to be as fast as you. Got it?"
Ashton just looks me over.
"Well leggings are okay for jumping jacks and running I guess. You're comfortable in that?"
I look down at my clothes, an oversized sweater, leggings and timberlands.
"Yeah, but I have boots on."
He shakes his head in disgust and grabs his book bag. He looks around for a bit until he pulls out a pair of sneakers. But not sketchers (thanks god) the Nike Flex Run 2k15.
Yassssssss.
I've been wanting to get them but I never get to it.
Coming from Ashton it's pretty weird so I eye him over.
"Who's are those?" He must've gotten them from one of the girls he's hooked up with. Or his sisters. Who knows.
"They're yours." He dead pans.
I scoff and grab them. I look on the inside and check to see if they're used. Surprisingly it's clean and actually smell new.
"Do you just randomly carry around new shoes to catch a new girl?" My eye brow raises and he just smiled and shakes his head.
