pencer's band, The Ghoulies, had a gig tonight at a local Halloween festival in Denver. I, of course, decided to tag along. He was, after all, my boyfriend of a year and a half.
The crisp fall air nipped at my skin as I stood in the crowd. Some of the other guys, like Joe and Dan, joined in on the festivities. We all watched as The Ghoulies performed their newest song, "Parasite".
"Woo, go Spencer!" I cheered along with Joe. We smiled and laughed and sang along to the lyrics. Eventually, though, the concert had to end.
Spencer rushed up to me, pulling me into a tight hug. "How did I do?" He asked, smiling.
"Perfect!" I exclaimed. I grinned from ear to ear. Spencer and his band had done a wonderful job.
"I love you." Spencer grinned, pecking my lips. I smiled wider.
"I love you, too." I replied. "Come on, let's go have some fun!"
I dragged Spencer off to the rest of the fair, where he won me a stuffed black cat and we went bobbing for apples. We also got to compete in a pumpkin pie eating contest, in which Spencer had won. After that, we danced along to the Monster Mash with Joe and Dan for a hub video.
"Oh, look!" I yelled. I pointed to a tall game stand where there were bags of different, assorted candies ranging from tiny to massive. "Spencer, we need a massive bag of candy!"
Spencer chuckled and nodded in agreement. He gave the man running the stand a few dollars. The man handed him a play gun that was attached to the stand. The object of the little game was to shoot as many bats, ghosts, and other spooky creatures down as they went across three levels of a scene. Each creature was worth a different amount of points, the biggest amount being 10.
Spencer shot at a lot of the monsters, trying his best to go for the Vampires, which were all ten points. If he couldn't get those, he went for the werewolves, which were nine points.
When the buzzer for the time rang, Spencer sat back and grinned. He knew he had done good.
"How much candy do we get?" I asked excitedly.
The man pulled up a rather large bag of candy. It wasn't the biggest size, but it was pretty close. He handed it to Spencer, who handed it to me. I grinned like a child as I held the bag close to me. It was kind of heavy, but I could carry it for a bit.
"Thanks so much!" I told the man. Spencer and I went off to find Joe, Dan, and Spencer's bandmates so we could head home.
"Did you have a fun night?" Spencer asked me.
"Yes, I did." I smiled. "Did you?"
"Of course I did. I spent Halloween with my gorgeous girlfriend." He smiled. I blushed as he kissed my cheek. I cuddled into him as we headed out to catch up with the others. Halloween had been very fun this year.
