October's in Arizona were always hot, despite this month being in fall. Standing around in a stupid costume did not help at all.
"(Y/N)," My boss called from inside, while I stood outside in a burger suit. I needed the extra money for college so I worked at Burger King every other day.
"Yes?" I asked politely, though I was angry and hot.
"You can leave now," He told me with a smile. I smile gratefully and went inside to change out of the smelly costume. Next, I drove to my boyfriend, Steven's, house.
I pulled up to Ze's house and walked inside, having a key to get in. There was a Halloween party going on at our college and we were going to go tonight.
"What are you gonna dress up as?" I asked him. He must not have heard me come in as he jumped.
"Geez babe," He said. "You scared me."
I giggled. "Sorry,"
Ze smiled and kissed my cheek. "I'm going as a Viking,"
I rolled my eyes playfully. "I should have known."
"How about you beautiful?" He asked me.
"I'm going to go as an Angel," I shrugged. It was the only costume I could find at Party City that wouldn't make me too hot and sweaty.
"You're my Angel, so this works." Ze said. He was so cheesy, but I loved it.
I blushed and kissed his cheek. "Ready to go?"
We reached the college and met up with some friends. Ze and I avoided any alcohol, being we both hated it, and we just danced around a little bit. I had to admit, it was fun.
"Hey (Y/N)?" Ze asked, pulling me close to him.
"Yes?" I asked, resting my head on his chest.
"Can we go home?" He asked. "And eat candy?"
"Sure babe," I said, laughter hinted in my voice. Steven and I always were a bit childish.
