Chapter 10: Short

"Y-You wrote the note?" I stutter. 

Tamaki blinks at me, "Of course I did. Who else would write it?"

I blush excessively, "I don't know...It's just...There are so many be-"

"What are you talking about? There is no one better than you because you are the best." Tamaki smiles.

I stare into his eyes for awhile longer. He is so amazing. I'm not good enough for him. I don't understand why he would choose me? He's way out of my league.

"I'm sorry if I came on too strong, but I just couldn't stop myself. To be honest, I feel a lot better now that I've told you. I used to cry myself to sleep because I kn-"

I interrupt him with a kiss. What am I doing? It's like I'm not even controlling my own body.

When the kiss ends, both of our faces look like tomatoes. 

"So, does this mean we're a thing now?" I ask. 

"We are whatever you want us to be." He grabs my hand and we both walk home together.

When we arrive at my home, Tamaki turns to leave.

"You can stay, Tamaki. My mom doesn't mind." I say.

"Are you sure?" He asks.

"Of course I'm sure!" I smile.

We both walk in and smell something delicious. It smells a lot like a five star restaurant. Shocked, I walk into the kitchen and ask, "Mom, what's that smell?"

"I'm cooking some fancy tuna for you all.~" Mom beams.

I'm really surprised because fancy tuna is definitely not cheap. She must have gotten a job.

We both sit down at the table and smile awkwardly at each other. We talk for a while about our lives in general. Our conversation is then interrupted by my phone.

Why is Kyoya calling me? He never talks to me...Unless he needs something from me...Poop.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Hi, (y/n). I just heard that Lobelia is going to arrive tomorrow and visit Ouran. Are you prepared to face them?" Kyoya asks.

Stunned, I respond, "I didn't think they were coming so soon. I haven't pre-"

"Okay, well get on top of that song you're going to perform. We need to scare them away with your talented voice." Kyoya says and quickly hangs up.

I sigh and lean back into my chair. How am I going to do this? Tamaki turns his body towards me and asks, "Is everything alright, (y/n)?"

I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear and say, "Well, Lobelia is going to visit Ouran tomorrow and Kyoya wants me to prepare a song for them." 

Tamaki smiles and says, "Just perform the song you sang earlier."

"But I don't want to be known as a one hit wonder at Ouran. I want to give them something that will really scare them away and leave everyone at Ouran alone." I respond with determination. 

Tamaki scoots closer to me and hugs me, "I'll help you tonight. We will make the best song."
