Chapter 9: Smooch

A/N: I'm so freaking sorry you all had to wait so long for this chapter. Please don't hate me. I've just been so busy this month because of school starting and finding out about my mom's surgery. It's really been crazy to the point that I didn't even have time for wattpad. :( I'm back now though! So, let's get started!

I walk into the host club. It's been busier than usual. I don't really know what's going on, so I just sit at a table in the corner of the room. I quietly take out a book and read. My English teacher expects me to finish this giant book? It will take me years to read it. As I'm deep in thought, I lost the area I was at in the book...Crap. Giving up on the book, I put it back in my bag and wait for Tamaki to finish whatever he's doing. There are a whole bunch of people surrounding someone. I quickly stand up and join the crowd and find something horrendous...A picture of me on a giant poster. The words said, 'See (y/n) perform live at the host club during lunch.' 

I feel tears coming down from my face. How can he do this to me? I'm so scared. Everyone looks at me and starts freaking out. "(y/n)! Are you okay?" All the girls ask me.

I couldn't even muster up the courage to speak. I just stand there like an idiot with tears streaming down my face. Tamaki, standing near the poster, sees me and smiles. Then, he notices that I was crying and quickly runs towards me. I can't face him right now. He knows how scared I am of performing. I run away towards the big double doors and open them rapidly. 

"(y/n)! Wait! Why are you running from me?" Tamaki yells.

"I-I'm not r-running from you. I'm running from everyone else." I stop running.

Tamaki catches up to me and catches his breath, "(y/n). Did I do something to make you upset?"

"Tamaki. You know how scared I get when I perform. I get anxious and I start to cry." I explain through watery eyes.

He looks at me with a concerned expression, "I'm sorry I upset you. I just want to share how amazing you are with everyone else. I am so proud of you for even coming this far in your lessons." 

Shocked, I stand there speechless.

Tamaki smiles, "Also, you look really cute when you sing. You show so much emotion and that's why everyone would love you so much."

"Tamaki...Why are you so nice to me?" I mumble.

His eyes widen. "What are you talking about, (y/n)?"

"You always do nice things for me and I'm not even worth all that trouble...All I do is cause more problems..."

Tamaki walks closer to me. "(y/n), Is that really how you see yourself?"

I nod slowly.

"Because I see a talented, beautiful, and bright young woman in front of me." He pulls me into a hug.

He smells really good like sweet cinnamon and honey. It feels like we're standing here for hours hugging each other. I don't want to pull away because if I do, I will float away. 

We are interrupted by a loud chanting. It's coming from the host club.

"It seems that they really want to see you perform." Tamaki says.

"I don't know if I can do it..." I explain.

"(y/n), it's completely up to you, but if you don't do it, you're going to have to deal with all the people who came to see you." 

We walk into the host club and it's jammed packed with people. Almost the whole school is in the host club. Even some boys are there. I see Ritsu in the crowd with Haruhi. They both smile at me. I wave to them and get up on the platform the host club set up for me. I look at Tamaki for reassurance, and he smiles at me. "You can do it, (y/n)."
