A/N: Hello! I hope I can be a distraction from all of the violence and negativity going on in the world. Any who, the video is the song you and Kyoya wrote. I know, it's corny af, but please just roll with it. Thanks!
"(y/n). We're going to be on in a few minutes. Are you ready?" Kyoya knocks outside of the bathroom door.
"Yeah! I just don't know if this dress is on properly." I say. Kyoya went out and bought me a dress that looked very complicated to put on. I open the bathroom door and his expression changes slightly. Oh no, I put it on wrong. My mom helped me put on some makeup, so if my dress is on wrong, at least my face could be a distraction from it.
"Is it that bad?" I ask.
He fixes his glasses and says, "No...You look beautiful, (y/n)."
I smile, "Thanks, Kyoya. You look handsome as well."
He clears his throat and replies, "We should go and prepare for our performance."
~
"Don't be nervous. You'll do fine, (y/n)." He says.
The curtain opens. The first person I see in the crowd is Tamaki. What is he doing here? He looks just as surprised as I am.
The piano starts playing. Kyoya and I sing the beautiful melody and harmonize very well. All our practicing paid off very well. The two of us are deep within the song and make eye contact with each other the whole time. I smile at his stage presence. He looks so different performing than he does on every normal occasion. He has a huge smile on his face.
I look towards the crowd and see Tamaki nowhere to be seen. Where did he go? Sure, there are a lot of people here, but I just saw him a minute ago. Was I just imagining it? I don't know, but I need to focus on the performance. Kyoya and I wrote a love song together. It may be kind of weird, but we figured everyone can relate to a song that's about love. Especially since it's an older and more sophisticated crowd.
"I will love you until my dying day."
Kyoya and I harmonize the last line of the song. The audience starts clapping. They seemed to have enjoyed it. I look towards Kyoya and he smiles at me with a hint of pink on his cheeks. Did he put some blush on before the performance? I can't remember...
The curtains close and Kyoya hugs me.
"That was amazing, (y/n). Thank you so much for doing this for me. I mean, you had no choice, but I still appreciate it." Kyoya says.
This whole experience seems to have shown how different Kyoya is from how he appeared when I first met him. He is more alive than ever. I'm starting to like this Kyoya better than the reserved, cool type one.
"Oh! It was no problem...I'm just glad I can help a friend out." I say.
I hear footsteps approaching. Instead of it being Mr. Ootori, it's (you know who) Tamaki. He has an appalled look on his face. I don't know why, but then I suddenly realize that Kyoya is still holding me in an embrace.
"So, I saw how that school project turned out," Tamaki spits.
Kyoya lets go of me and says, "I told you, Tamaki. She owed me. This is what she did to repay for my favor."
"This is outrageous behavior. Especially coming from you, Kyoya!" Tamaki yells.
I stare at them both with my mouth open.
"No, Tamaki. I believe you're the one being quite, what's the word they use," he ponders for a moment, "Oh yeah. Obnoxious." Kyoya replies with a smirk.
