It was still early in the morning, so Alby decided that it would be easier, and less exhausting, to just walk to the area that the Griever was killed. Minho didn't like the idea due to his love for running, but Alby wasn't exactly a Runner, so he let it slide. I personally, didn't mind walking. I mean, when it came down to it, I preferred running, but walking wasn't the most horrible thing in the world. Minho seemed to think otherwise though.
"You guys are so slow!" He complained, speed walking. He took a quick turn, and then another, until he was no longer in sight. Alby looked at me, his eyes showing clear panic. He was scared of the Maze, and I didn't blame him. It was easy to get lost in here, and time seems to go by fast, so daylight doesn't seem to last long. And nobody wants to spend a night in the maze. I'm almost certain that I only survived that one time, due to a fluke.
"Don't worry, Alby. I know my way around the Maze better than Minho himself." I laughed, smiling gently at the older boy. Alby let out a breath, nodding quickly. He didn't look very convinced, but I guess I wouldn't either.
"Hey, I heard that!" Minho announced, coming back into view. He had an excited glint in his eyes, and he was bouncing on the balls of his feet. "Come on guys, it's just around the corner!"
"We're not running, Minho." I stated, rolling my eyes. Alby nodded, looking uneasy. He really didn't like the Maze. Minho sighed in defeat, his shoulders slumping.
"You guys suck." He complained, in a whiny voice.
"Awh, Minho doesn't get to run. Poor baby." I joked, chuckling lightly. Minho smirked at me, wiggling his eyebrows up and down in a suggestive matter.
"I love it when you call me baby." He then winked and continued to walk, only slower this time. My eyes widened and I glanced at Alby, who was looking just as shocked as me. He gave me a questioning stare and I just shrugged.
"Didn't Newt specifically say not to flirt with his girlfriend?" Alby asked, raising his eyebrows at the Asian boy. Minho seemed to tense a little before he relaxed again, letting out a nervous laugh.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm just having a normal conversation with Emmy." He shrugged, looking back at the older boy. My stomach did a little flip when he said Emmy, and I scrunched up my nose. Why is he being all weird all of a sudden? I mean, he's always been the flirty type, but these past couple of weeks; he's been acting super flirtatious, especially around Newt. I don't really understand it, but then again, he is a boy.
"Didn't you say it was just around the corner?" I asked, noticing how we had already taken multiple turns. Minho looked at me innocently, his mouth agape.
"I may have exaggerated a little bit." He said, laughing.
"You just wanted us to run, didn't you?" Alby guessed, sighing.
"Yup." Minho admitted, making a popping sound at the p. I rolled my eyes.
"He'll never learn." I sighed, looking at the tall boy. Minho raised his eyerbows.
"Like you can talk, Emmy." Minho said, making me frown.
"What do you mean?"
"As soon as Newt says sorry you go back to him, despite him hurting you again and again."
"We're not having this conversation, Minho. Besides it's none of your business." I growled, walking a little faster. The faster we look at the Griever and get out of the maze, the better. We had already walked for a couple of hours. Minho scoffed loudly, whilst Alby watched us cautiously. You could tell that he was preparing for a fight to break out between us.
