INVESTIGATION

EDWARDS POV

Its been two days since my love is missing. Me and my family have not gone home since 2 days . We have been searching for her everywhere possible. From big houses to abondoned places but she is no where in the state of washington.

My phone rang first I didn't notice it ring then I heard it and picked it up it was Carlisle. " Edward come back home immediately I have something important to tell you."as he said that a spark of happiness came in my eyes maybe he knew where Bella is . I rushed to see her. I was on cloud nine.

I wanted her in my arms where I can protect her and keep her safe. I wanted to kiss her and ask her if she is good if anything has happened to her. But first I just wanted to see her.

In an hour I reached my house. On the way I didn't notice anything or heard anyone because I was so busy in my thoughts of Bella. As I opened the door of my house my whole family was standing their they didn't seem happy. I immediately asked Carlisle" Carlisle where is Bella?"he looked down at the floor and said" We were not able to find her . We searched whole of Washington and some other southern states but she was nowhere."he said this and the only spark that was left vanished.
I was so defeated that I just fell on the floor on my knees and a whisper came from me" Bella where are you?" Alice and Jasper came by my side to help me up. But I didn't want to get up I just wanted to sit their like that forever. If in heaven or hell there was some greater power to listen to someone souless like me . I just wanted my Bella back in my arms her lips touching my lips.

It was as if I was starting to break. Nothing more mattered to me then her , my cause of existence. I got up with help pf Alice . She gave me a sisterly embrace " We will find her I promise. " she said in my ear and I cried tearless cry.

Then a thought struck Jasper " What if Victoria....." as I heard him I straightened he was right what if Victoria had taken my love away from me to take revenge. I looked at Jasper and he understood what I wanted to say" Alice did you see Victoria deciding something?"he said to her coming close to her and holding her by her waist. The affection they showed to each other was one of the reasons I went alone. I could not live with such love struck people around me when I don't have my love with me. I sighed seeing them.

I tried to ignore them and listened to Alice" No once I saw Victoria but she was not upto anything important for us."she said.

"Are you sure Alice?"asked Esme. " Yes mom I am one hundred percent sure."she said." Then who could it be?" Esme whispered.

In the whole conversation I was not speaking anything just listening to them . Everyone looked at me to stay something I stood in silence for a minute and murmured in an almost inaudible voice" I want some time alone."and I ran out of the house.

" Is he going to be alright?"I heard Esme asking Carlisle. "Yes he is going to be alright , I promise."he said and kissed her . I again sighed.

When I was near the town I walked at human speed to Bellas house . On the way I saw flyers reading " Bella Swan missing." Charlie must have put them.

I grabbed one flyer and stared at it . It had a beautiful picture of Bella. She looked like a godess . Perfect in every way. I carased her face in the photo and said" I will find you."and kept the flyer in my pocket.

I reached her house and saw the door was unlocked. No one was their at the house maybe Charlie had gone in a hurry and left it unlock. I jumped up through her window to directly go into her room .

The room still had her scent. Fresh and beauriful. Her homework was on her bed clean in an unclean manner. I touched everything that belonged to her and had her scent. Finally I sat at the corner of the bed where I had been when we kissed the last time. Before she ..... I tried to not think of the memories they were making me weak . I had to be strong . Strong enough to find her. Strong enough to fight for her. Strong enough to protect her.
I saw a note kept on the corner of bed for Charlie it had " At Angelas place. Will come till 9. Alice will cook for you. Bye." I held that note and thougt what if I do some investigation to sort out a few things. I jumped out of the window and ran at Angleas place.

I reached there in a minute. I knocked Eric opened the door he was suprised seeing me What is he doing here? he thought.
" Hey Eric is Angela home?"I asked as politely as I could.

I heard Angela coming down the stairs thinking who it must be. She came on the door and was not so suprised seeing me. She was expecting me to come and check on Bella. " Hey Edward sorry to here about Bella."she said to me. I just nodded my had engulfed in pain.
" Angela could you please tell me what happened before Bella disappeared. " I tried to bring out the words politely as I could.

She thought and said" When she came to my house she was very quiet ,lost in her own thoughts and left early saying she had to work with Charlie and after that I don't know." I thought for a moment " Charlie .. hmmm " I said . " Thanks Angela." I said trying to smile and was going when she stoped me " Hey Edward when you find Bella please tell me ." I nodded and went. I read in her mind she was seriously concerned about Bella not pretending . She was not like Jessica that selfish human.

I went in the forest and sat on a rock and thought Alice didn't see Bellas future when she left from there that means she was going to the wolfes. But Charlie was with Billy and he didn't saw Bella then what. I thought a lot and one thing popped in my mind . Did Charlie see Jacob when he went there? What if Jacob took my love ?for once I considered it but Jacob could not do anything like this he was Bellas friend. But.. I again thought again and again the thought of Jacob was haunting me.

Charlie was busy with a case in his office . I knocked his cabin" Charlie please may I come in."he didn't notice. I knocked again he just shot me a sideways look and nodded his head. On his desk were laid flyovers of Bella.
His eyes were swollen from crying . The only thought in his mind was Bella he didn't even notice who knocked. I kept a hand on his shoulder" Charlie we will find her I promise."I also didn't belive my words .

He turned to my face me and blinked twice to clear his thought When did he come here? he thought. Because of him my daughter is lost. He gestured me to sit. I sat next to him and he asked in a cracked voice" Why are you here?"

" Charlie I just came to ask you that when you went to La Push you didn't see Bella right? Did you see Jacob anywhere?" I asked. He concentrated for 3 seconds and revised all the memories. I saw them in his head and knew he didn't see him . He just said " No".

I shook my head and thanked him and ran in human speed to my car . I picked up my phone and called Billy . I got his number from Bella in case of any emergency.

He picked up the phone:
Billy:Hello . Who is this ?
Me: Billy this is Edward . Can I please talk to Jacob.
he tensed for a moment.
Billy: Sorry Edward he is not there .
He then kept the phone. Now I was one hundred percent sure that something was wrong.
