Edward's POV

I could already feel I was very close to her, because the scene around me was getting more and more familiar. Also the stench of Jacob was getting stronger and stronger around me. I tried to sense Bella, but nothing did signify she was present there.

I stopped for a second to sense each and every thing around me. I heard it, someone was running, I immediately ran towards the sound. Soon I knew who it was, the footsteps became louder and clearer and I even started hearing his thoughts. It was Jacob.

At the first sight of him, I jumped with all my strength to attack him in the most painful way possible. But he must have noticed because that very second, before the collision he turned to his mutt form.

At the same time my fist connected with his snout and his paw with my face. Immediately we were both thrown back and got up again for another round.

We started circling each other. " Where is she!" I demanded.

Why do you care? She is somewhere safe, away from you. He said in his mind showing his teeth.

"Jacob, I am here to kill you today" I warned him "the more time you take in telling me, the more painful your death would be."

I am asking you for the last time" Where. Is. Bella."

And I am saying for the last time you, would never know. He said.

I smiled, the most cunning smile, the smile that was accompanied by my most evil side "Then let's do it your way."

I ran for him, with lightning speed and was approached by the same strength and anger. His eyes reflected my emotion for him, which was, murder.

We collided again with a loud boom and soon it was a battle between skin and fur. My fist joined with his back and as a reflex he threw me on to a tree. The tree fell with a loud crack. I uprooted it and threw it again at Jacob's face. He almost doged it and came running towards me. I was ready for the action.

But the impact never came, instead a loud scream shook me up. Jacob also stopped in his tracks. It was followed by a few other screams from some person who was in extreme pain and then complete silence dawned upon the forest. The scream shook me from inside out, because it was none other than Bella's.
