Forgotten

I sat in my dorm room as my roommate Cassidy packs her things. I had already packed my things and now I was just anxiously waiting for a text from my parents.

Winter break couldn't have come any sooner.

Cassidy grabs her bags and says goodbye to me. Now I just sit in my room alone.

I hum along to the radio and tap my fingers on my desk. Just waiting.

1 hour later I get a call from my step monster, I mean step mom.

"Are you serious? My parents ditched me to go to Hawaii without me? Now I'm stuck here. Splendid." I mumbled under my breath.

Might as well get comfortable since it is going to be a long Christmas break.

I open the window and light a joint, inhaling quickly and then exhaling out the window.

"Hello?" There was a knock on my door. "Is there someone in here?"

Oh shit.

I open the door slowly, hoping it wasn't the police or my RA. Luckily, it was neither.

"Um, hi there," I say while I awkwardly rub my neck. "Can I help you?"

"Don't worry, I've been left behind as well." The brown haired boy said. "I guess it's just you and me."
