Stiles found her on the ground, crippled in dismay by the nemeton. Her legs were stained in the dirt from the forest, and her hair was tangled with small twigs and leaves. She was shaking violently, with 4 small claw marks at the back of her neck.

"St-Stiles... He did this." She murmured when she saw him, glassy eyes never leaving the forest horizon.

"Who? Lydia, look at me." He grabbed her chin gently and turned her head to face him, but her eyes never left their place.

"He brought them back. All of them." She had a childlike innocence on her features, like one seeing a scary movie for the first time. Lydia had experience as a banshee in the supernatural world, but nothing like this.

"Stiles, I-I can hear them. The whispers. Are they here? Please tell me they're not here." She pleaded, and started crawling back hastily, fingers clawing into the soft dirt. Her lower lip began to quiver, like there was something chasing her. Stiles looked, but there was nothing there. Lydia stopped when her back hit a tree, and she brought her knees up to her chest, holding them and rocking back and forth. She began to cry, the mud smudged on her face making trails down her neck.

Stiles rushed to her side, saying her name over and over again, but she couldn't hear it.

"Lydia-Lydia look at me, look at me!" He tried to grab her hands, but she pulled them back so fast it made red marks on his palms. She kept rocking, staring at her palms like they had the secrets of the universe inscripted on them.

"They're coming, they're coming, they're coming, they're coming," She kept repeating, over and over. Stiles kept shouting and yelling at her, trying to make any sense of her words. But she just kept whispering.

"They're coming..."

Pick it up, pick it all up.

And start again.

You've got a second chance,

you could go home.

Escape it all.

It's just irrelevant

"Listen Stiles, I am not the enemy here!" Theo shouted over his threats. Stiles had him pinned on a wall, forearm over his throat.

"Oh, you most certainly are now. Tell me what you did to her or I swear to god I am not afraid to skin your little chimera ass."

"You really want to know stiles? Because you are reacting exactly how I want you too. You're just helping me, you know. If you must, I entered her mind. Found out we're the nemeton was, and dragged her out there by my claws. There, I made her watch me resurrect everyone who was a failure to the doctors. What else is going on in that nut-job brain of hers, I have no clue."

Stiles narrowed his eyes. He just knew Theo had some sick plan up his sleeve.

"And what did you mean by I'm not the enemy?"

"The doctors are. I'm surprised it took you so long to see that. They are what we should truly be afraid of. I'm just a little side project." Theo used his strength and pushed Stiles off him. He huffed, pushing a hand through his hair.

"Good bye Theo, I'll be counting down the days until you're funeral." Stiles finished, walking out of the alley way and hopping into his jeep. Scott sat next to him in the passengers seat.

"You know, Mrs. Martin is thinking of putting Lydia in Eichen house." Scott said, turning to his friend. The two still weren't exactly healed, but they both still cared about each other, and Lydia. The thought of her going into Eichen scared them both, but put Stiles' mind in a dark place. He remembers how haunting the hallways were, the streetlights whizzing past the jeep making him shiver in reminder of the flickering lights. Sometimes, he can still feel the constraints around his wrist when he thinks about the time Lydia and he were tied down to opposite sides of the support beam there.
