*Present Day*
-HexAnna's P.O.V-
I woke up early, today was Nexus' birthday. Her 18th and I was determined to make it the best for her. I quickly got ready for the day. I put on white skinnie jeans, and a long sleeve black v neck top. Then I made my way down stairs into the kitchen and began to make Nexus' favorite breakfast. Which consisited of bacon, scrambled eggs, hot fudge poptarts, and a giant Monster energy drink to wash it all down. Breakfast was almoat ready when Nexus walked in still half asleep when I turned to look at her she mumbled something like I smelled bacon.
"Good morning Koii Fish, go sit at the table and finish wakeing up, I'll bring breakfast to you," and before she walked away I hugged her and kissed her forehead "Happy Birthday Babydoll." I said smiling.
"Thanks Mom. I love you." she said walking away.
"I love you too." I called to her.
I went into the dinning room and set her plate infront of her and her eyes lit up. She had no problem eating what was on her plate, finishing mine, and then finaly the leftovers in the kitchen. She then hugged me so tight I could hardly breathe when she let go I laughed and ruffled her hair.
"Hey why don't you take your little butt upstairs and get dressed and we will go get ice cream and go to the park?" I asked, I didn't get an answer she just shot upstairs like a bat out of hell.
While she was getting ready I took the chance to put her present in my purse. As soon as Nexus came down stairs we got in my sleek black Dodge Durango, and drove into town. When we walked in the ice cream shop the owner greeted us, and since it's a special day for Nexus we get free ice cream. I chose vanilla and Nexus chose the birthday cake flavored. Before we left the ice cream shop I decided to give Nexus her present.
"It's time for your gift." I told her.
"What did you get?!" she asked excitedly.
I reached in my purse for her gift and I handed her the small black box with a blood red ribbon.
-Nexus' P.O.V-
I looked at the black box excited, I carefully pulled the ribbon loose and took the lid off it. I gasped, shocked beyond speech. Inside the box was a necklace that looked like a Jashinist pendant, but in the middle of the triangle was a red Akatsuki cloud made of rubies.
"How much did this cost?" I asked.
"Don't worry about it." HexAnna answered casualy flipping her long and at the moment bright green hair that matched her eyes, over her shoulder.
We spent a few hours at the park, and HexAnna made spagetti when we got home. After eating we settled on the couch and started the movie Kick-Ass. Half way through the movie I realized HexAnna was bored and figiting around trying to let me finish the movie. I watched her smileing she is the greatest mom ever, even with the attention span of a squirrell.
"Why are you smiling like that? Did you put spiders in my room again?!" She asked terrified, I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe. HexAnna's face grew more frantic.
"No, that was a year ago, Baka. I'm smiling because your the best." I told her, she quickly relaxed then smiled sheepishly scratching the back of her head. Attention span of a squirrell, with a mind like a steel trap.
"If you wanna go do something else it's fine. I'll find you when the movie is over." I said.
"Thank you! I was fucking dying of bordom!" She yelled running off to god knows where, I laughed sometimes I forget we're around the same age.
-HexAnna's P.O.V-
I went and took a long shower, washing my hair slowly, and removeing all the traces of dirt from the park. Relaxed, I quickly dried off and put on pajamas which consisted of a plain white shirt and white pants I used a black clothing marker on to put jashinist symbols all over. I blow dried my hair, I pulled it into a pony tail, and my bangs fell out and covered my left eye as usual.
I walked out of the bathroom, and right into a showered Nexus.
"I see we had the same idea." I said.
"Yea, me and dirt we dont't get along." She told me.
The doorbell rang and echoed through the house. Nexus looked at me a little freaked out, Because its like 10:30 at night, and out in the country. She walked downstairs with me but I made her stay in the livingroom. I opened the the door, and nothing not a person in sight. When I looked down there was a medium size box with a note taped to it. On the note in an elegant script was two words: Special Delivery.
Shocked, I carefully picked up the box and brought it into the living room. I set the box on the middle seat on the couch. Nexus and I, then sat down, and looked at the box. Curiosity got the better of me and I ripped the tape of the box, and opened it. I gasped because when I looked inside there were ten sets of eyes stareing back. Nexus looked at me surprised at the kittens really strange coloring. A silver one with pink eyes, a brown one with black stripes and green eyes, an indigo one with blue eyes, orange one with grey eyes with black spots on its face and ears, a black one with red eyes, a blue one with white eyes, another black one with a orange swirl face with one red eye and one gray eye, one blonde long hair with bright blue eyes, a red one with brown eyes and finaly a half white and half black and yellow eyes.
Nexus looked at me eyes shining, mirroring my thoughts. She smiled knowing I was thinking the same thing. They looked like the Akatsuki.
