Today is the first day of eighth grade for me and I'm one week away from turning thirteen. My life has been pretty normal for a girl who skipped a grade, I play the guitar and field hockey, I go to sports games with my friends, and I love to read.
Many of my friends think that reading is a waste of time, especially if it's fiction, because then it takes away time that you could be studying for school or practicing for sports.
The "more important things in life," they say, but I never believe it.
Tip of advice, ignore the haters, all they want is to see you fall; you just have to get back up again.
So going into school today isn't a big deal, I'll see my friends from last year and hopefully make a lot more new friends too. Little did I know my plans would be seriously wrecked after seeing who was with my best friend that morning.
