As I got ready to go to the party, I wasn't really thinking. My mind was too occupied with my thoughts of Max and my recent discoveries.
God, what was he even doing on my platform? I guess curiosity got the best of him.
As I sat in the car my mind ran free with possibilities that could happen tonight, even tomorrow.

When I stepped out of the car, I was hit with a chilly autumn breeze, the leaves rustling in the wind. I could here music coming from the little building where the food and speakers were kept as well as all of the party supplies. As I scanned the place for my friends I looked at all the other people that had come. There were a lot of people. I soon found my friends inside the building, of course they had gone strait for the snacks.
As I approached them they turned around and we commented on each other's costumes. The party was soon buzzing with electricity as our grade partied the night away. The party was amazing but I still couldn't stop thinking about Max. After the 20th song I think I was finally able to keep Max off my mind and just have a good time

The party was over and I finally got home around 10:30/11-ish and I was the first to get dropped off. As I got out of the car, there was a chorus of "Goodbye Grace" and then I shut the door. As soon as I got home I ran up the stairs to my room, taking out some sweatpants to wear to bed. I had finally settled down in my bed and it was almost midnight by the time I turned off my phone after scrolling through both Pinterest and Snapchat. Right before putting my phone down, I felt it buzz in my hands. I looked down at my phone to see an unknown number
Ur costume looks good on you, goodnight Grace. -Max
I read that with a smile on my face, knowing it really was Max but still wondering how he saw me.
That night when I fell asleep around midnight, I knew I was smiling and my dreams were filled with Max.
