SOOOOOO sorry I haven’t uploaded lately! Please forgive me! Hope you guys enjoy the chapter. P.S please comment and fan me! I really appreciate it!  **

I woke up the next morning to the smell of breakfast, which my stomach growled for. I had to get out of the house, I can't be prisoner here. I am starting school soon so I might as well get some new clothes.  I grabbed some jeans and a skirt from my closet then took a shower. When I was all done I looked in a mirror. I had long wavy blond hair, tan skin and blue eyes. I am a stereotype I know but it's natural.

I walked down the steps and into the kitchen where I presumed my family would be there, which I was right. They were sitting down eating. They looked up as I entered the room. I wasn't going to be nice, not until we moved back. At least I am going to talk to them, that’s a big step.

"I need some money," I said stiffly.

"Sure honey, where are you going?" my mom asked.

"Out." I tried to talk to them as little as possible.

"Oh, well take this," my dad said to me. He stood up and walked over to me with some bills in his hand. I took it and looked at about how much it was. It was 300 bucks! I tried to get the shock to come off my face. We were never poor but my dad didn't usually handout this much money. Of course he is trying to by me over, trying to get me to like L.A. Well, it wasn't going to work.

"Whatever," I replied as I turned around and walked out of the house. I took out my phone from my back pocket and found directions to the nearest mall. It was not that far, so I decided that I was going to walk

. *About ten minutes later*

I was inside the mall; well, I shouldn't call it a mall. It's more like a coliseum. My whole town could probably fit in here! I was just standing there looking like an idiot and a tourist just staring. Man I hate tourists. They always ruined the beaches and town when I lived in Hawaii. A voice interrupted my thoughts.

"Why don't you take a picture?" a guy asked.

I turned to face him and of course he was gorgeous. He had brown hair and brown eyes. This moment is another humiliating one of the many so far in my life.

"My name’s Gale," he said, sticking his hand out for me to shake it. I didn't.

"I don't care," I replied walking away. He followed.

"Wait, I didn't catch your name."

"Well, that is because I didn't give it" I trailed off walking into a store.

"Because I need to know a pretty face." He smirked. I rolled my eyes.

"That’s almost the worst pick up line I have ever heard,” I breathed, turning away from him again.

"You’ve heard worse than that?" he asked as I looked through a rack of clothes. I held up a pretty, but expensive, pink shirt, then put it back in distaste.

"Mmhhhm, it was, 'Do you have a band aid because I just fell for you'." We both started laughing.

"That’s pretty bad," he agreed and I nodded.

"Are you going to leave me to shop now?" I asked getting annoyed.

"Not until you tell me your name," he replied.

"Vanessa, my name’s Vanessa."

"Well Vanessa, would you like to have lunch with me?" He asked giving me a dazzling smile. I couldn’t say no; it was very weird. It was almost like something was pulling me to him.
