Chapter 1

Katniss P.O.V

I go hunting almost everyday. This time I'm own my own but I'm also really good at hunting with my partner Gale. He and I are like when we hunt but he is at the Hob so today I have to go alone. I move gracefully and very cautious that I don snap any branches and I finally spot it A Deer!

It has been a whole year since I saw one of these. I cant blow this moment. Imagine the stuff I can get! I Think I got a position to shoot the deer what a bunch of birds fly over my head and also scare the deer away. Can't they see I'm working for my food!? GOSH!

I know where the deer will go because of the hunting skills I acquired with Gale bu it is still very hard to get to because I have to keep my distance and all the trees are in the way but I dont feel bad. I feel at home in the forest Especially In these clothes my fathers.

OK, I think I got it now. I'm all ready to shoot the deer when I hear a soft panting. It is very far but isn't an animal. I make the most dumb decision in the world and forget about the deer, and go search for the source of thins noise.

I keep on thinking that this is a waste of time but I ignore that and keep searching. I know I'm getting closer because it is becoming louder and louder. Finally, I think I got far enough. I realize soon that there is only a think tree trunk separating us.

I get ready with my bow and arrow. I turn to only look at a girl about the same age as me sitting down against the tree. She is injured and there is a gun beside her. I know she is not from here because of her clothes but. Where is she from then?

I hope you enjoyed this first chapter! I would advice to skip to chapter 11 because that is when I think it gets better. I am currently working to get the first then chapters to that standard. Untill then..
