Chapter 12 The Cave

Katniss P.O.V

I can't stop staring at his leg, what have I done? I could have saved him. Even though the love compared to prim and him is unquestionable. Obviously I love Prim more.
Wait a minute, what am I talking about?

Not to soon I realised that I was talking to my self in my head to calm myself down but it wasn't helping. I know he has a crush on me but do I have feelings for him? I don't know....

But right now I need to fix a problem that could lead to him dying. I stare at Tris just looked away from staring at me.

'Hey, what did you do all this time? How did you stay alive?'

She looked at me like it was offensive, the 'what do you take me for? Look.

She sighs and replies,

'Did u ever tell you that I'm not normal. As in I can't be controlled,'

I let out a small laugh.
'Then that makes two of us,'

'No, I mean where I come from its very serious. They call it Divergent which means that I'm a bit crazy. Like the time I saw a ginger haired girl trying to talk to me, I think her name was Foxface? Yeah. So then I had to think twice about everything. If I didn't, I could have ended up dead much sooner. When I saw you I thought it was my mind messing with me but then I saw Peeta hurt. Even though that's what he deserves after what he did with a careers. Why are we helping him anyway!?'

I didn't know about the Divergent thing. I think it the first time she actually talked about where she came from which took me by surprise. I look over at Peeta and then back at Tris ready to explain that it was all for me. When I suddenly think deeper about what she said.

'How do you know about him the careers?

'I saw him just after the chaos at the start. So I called out his name but then I saw Clove running towards me and ignoring Peeta. I managed to get away. So, you where gonna tell me why he was there?'

'Oh right. He did it to protect me. After I dropped a nest of tracker jackers, he ran up to and told me to run otherwise I'd be dead.'
I turn to Peeta stroking his hair from is forehead.

I look back at Tris and offer an apple that I grabbed from the mine explosion. She takes and in a blink of and eye and it gone.
Just after, Peeta wakes up.

'Hey, Katniss. Hey Tris.' How's life?'

Tris looks amused and not that mad considering what happened. She said with a smile.

'Oh you know, starving, nightmares and confusion . Nothing much how about you?'

'Could have been better.'

I look at both of them proud to have because they're not too mad at each other. Then I say,

'We should probably get some sleep but one of should keep watch'
I was going to say that I'll do it but Tris beat me to it.

'You should rest, you're gonna need it tomorrow.'

I'm worried about her though.
'What about you?'

'Oh well, what do I have to loose' She sows a small smile. And I could see that she's holding back tears.

'Oh OK then, I'll be her if you need me. Remember to wake me if there is anything.' She nods and leaves to sit on the outside of the cave leaving me and Peeta alone.
If I want to say anything to him I think now will be the best time to do it. It's now or never

HI!!! Im bored so I made this and I'll probably make the next chapter if not then, I hope you enjoyed this chapter it was hard to make.
