Chapter 8

   "Hey, Cam." You say. You look at his shirtless body and bite your lip again. Ugh, why does he do this to you? Stay focused! You think again. You get up and start to walk back to the Glade when he grabs your waist. You turn into him and catch your balance on his chest. He kisses you hard, you want him so bad, so very bad! "Matt doesn't have to know babe." He whispers in your ear pushing you up against a tree. "Oh, Cameron." You moan as he sucks on your neck. You try to grab on to the stubble on the back of his head as he grinds on you. "Hey Cam where are you?" You hear Aaron say from the edge of the forest. He stops and kisses you once more before walking out of the forest leaving you to catch your breath.

"What just happened?" You ask yourself. You felt so bad but it felt so right. What if Matt found out? You wanted Cameron bad but you totally forgot about Matt. You had to get back to the Glade before dark. You walked out of the woods to find that they had done a fire. You sat by the fire next to Matt, he looked at you and smiled before looking back at Taylor who was telling a story. You felt so bad, but then again you guys weren't dating or anything, there was no point anyways, you are stuck in this Maze. You had no time for love. You knew you sounded shallow playing Cameron like that, but then you thought to yourself, you never asked for that! Everyone started to laugh bringing you out of your thoughts. "It's so true!" Hayes says laughing. "Right y/n?" He asks. "Yeah..." You say trying to convince them you know what they are talking about. "Well, I'm gonna go to bed." You say getting up and going to your hammock. You fall asleep sooner than expected and have a dream the worst dream you could possibly imagine.

You were in the Glade this time, right away you knew this wasn't a memory. You sat in the dark and the entrance doors were not closed. Everyone was panicking and you just sat there listening, waiting, unable to move or get up. You heard a cry from inside the Maze it was loud enough for you to know to was close. "Grievers!" You hear Aaron yell running into the Hall. Get up! Get up! You keep thinking to yourself trying to move, but you were frozen with fear. "Y/n!" You hear Matt call. You try to tell him to leave you and go into the Hall, but you couldn't talk either. Matt! You keeping thinking, Matt just leave! You try to scream to him, but it was no use. "Y/n get up! Y/n get up! Get up! Get up!" Matt says trying to lift you. You had enough strength to move your head towards him, you look at him with sadness in your eyes and shake your head, trying to tell him to go. 'Jack!' You call out. You don't feel his presence in you. 'Jack! Tell Matt to leave me!' You yell. Until you look over and see the griever... And Jack. "No! No! No!" You scream. "Jack! Jack! No!" You yell tears streaming down your face. "Y/n! Get up! We have to get to the Hall!" Matt shouts. "Matt... Leave me. I don't deserve you!" You say turning towards him. "What do you mean." He asks a stray tear running down his face. "Matt!" You scream as a griever picks him up and throws him into the forest. "Matt! No!" You scream crying harder than you've ever cried before. "Y/n!" Cameron yells as you run into the forest to find Matt. You find him and kneel beside him. "I'm sorry!" You whisper in his ear. "I've always loved you since the first time we kissed in the Maze." He says gasping for air. "Matt please don't leave me." You whisper crying. "I love you y/n, I love you so much." He says closing his eyes. "Matt? Matt! Matthew! Matthew please!" You cry, you kiss him, but he doesn't kiss you back. "Matt!" You scream, waking yourself up from that horrible nightmare.
