Jacky reached back her dorms with her mind still dizzy with everything happening around her. Their words were echoing in her head. Everything they said was somewhat right. She was here to take down the largest empire single-handedly which is practically impossible. She had a motive but no way to reach it. To reach her motive there was a faint glimmering path and that was lead by the ferocious pack of wolves. She was almost convinced that they're the one's she need, the key to the door that would lead her to her unfathomable revenge. The only thing keeping her back was what they all needed most if she teamed up with them and that was trust. Even if she teamed up with them what certainty did she have that they won't turn back on her. Was there any guarantee that after defeating the vampire king they won't harm humans? These were some questions that she seeked answers for. Till now all she knew was that all her questions will be answered by time. If she decides to be with them she need to be extra cautious, two steps ahead of their every move. With all these thoughts in her mind she opened the door of her room.
"Jacky." Sam squealed and threw herself on her. "Where were you?"
"Just went for a walk." she bemusedly said and pulled back from her embrace.
Sam narrowed her eyes and looked at her suspiciously "Is everything okay Jacky?"
"Yeah. Everything is perfectly fine. Why?" Jacky gave Sam her biggest fake grin. Everything is perfectly fine. She mentally laughed at her words. Nothing was right at all. There was a storm forming in her mind that was trying to occupy every tiny part of her brain and invade her every thought. She wanted to be left alone for sometime, away from all her thoughts but sadly that wasn't possible.
"You just seem..... different. A lot distant." Sam shrugged.
Her friend worrying about her made her smile, genuinely this time. "I'm totally fine Sam. I just miss home." She shrugged. She had been so good with lies lately. Lying and getting away with it was easy than telling the truth and let people continuously budge you with question. That is why people would always prefer lying not because they want to but because it save you from further interrogation.
"Oh. Speaking of home there's this really hot guy waiting for you in the visitor's room. He said he's from your place. Goddamn he's freaking hot." Sam grinned.
"A guy?" Jacky raised her eyebrows. Her mind wandered around thinking of everyone that may probably show up but there was none in particular she could think of. Back home beside Tristan there was no one that'd visit her except one. But there was no way that he'd visit her after everything that happened when they last met.
"What is with you and all the hot guys?" Jacky snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Sam who was wiggling her eyebrows.
"What do you mean?"Jacky asked.
"Like seriously there's Zayn, Jason and now this new guy. Jacky every hot guy is automatically attracted toward you. I get it you're hot but HELLO there's an equally or probably less but still hot girl beside her." Sam pointed at herself and pouted her lips.
"You're dating the hottest guy remember?" she scoffed.
"That's because he's your brother." She said piquing her eyebrows up making Jacky chuckle. She walked to Sam and held her from her shoulders. "And trust me every other hot guy can't even stand close to my brother. He's the best. Just don't tell him I said this." Jacky winked.
"Sure I won't." Sam placed her hand on her mouth and giggled. "Now go Mr Hottie is waiting for you." Sam pushed her toward the door.
"I'M GOING." Jacky groaned and raised her hands up in the air. Sam stopped pushing her and She walked lazily toward the visitor room after waving Sam off. Her sneakers squeaked with her every step on the white marbled floor producing the only voice in the almost empty corridors. There was no one buzzing around and it was weird, atleast that's what she felt. People in the university were definitely not like her. As much as she was desperate to get in here, she despised every students in the university.
