A Beautiful Sunset on an Ugly Day
I still remember that black day
when devil struck with his poisonous spade
and down came crashing, the two towers
that had stood firm, for many decades.
The sky was covered, with clouds as grey
as ashes that were, emitted that day.
The sun set on that day
to begin a longer night
the ashes couldn't be seen
but could be felt within our hearts alright
Night began as the sun went away
leaving behind beautiful colours
to make up for the ugly
day
that can't be erased.
Sunset was complete
but the damage was
just the beginning
so was the night...
